We had the best experience. Staff were very open and honest and helped us find our new family member. Our girl has been an absolute joy, and that is a testament to the loving care she received during her time at Paws!

Loved the shelter, I can tell the animals are very well maintained and cared for. Got to take home my new fur baby Malificent, now known as Marceline. She is such a sweetheart and doing amazing at adjusting to the house. can’t wait to welcome her to her new best friend (my 2yr old cat). Update: both cats love each other. Theyre inseparable

I did volunteer here and was consistently impressed by the warm care provided to the animals and the impeccable cleanliness of the facility. The staff are truly amazing - organized, dedicated, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to ensure each animal receives the love and attention they deserve.

A few fun facts that I learned: It is a no kill shelter, so one dog that we met has been living here in a nice cottage for years according to the staff! They would also match your personality and household situation to the dog’s personality to make sure the dogs can find their perfect home. The dogs here also get a lot of play time and human attention which is probably more than my dog receives at home haha.

I highly recommend PAWS Atlanta to anyone looking to adopt or volunteer.

We adopted our wonderful dog, Cali, here years ago. Now they’ve introduced little Cooper into our home. Great people doing great things.

Fell on a difficult time and was able to get dog food here. The people dont seem to want to be bothered but most places where you can get free dog food all have the same cranky attitude. Come with your id, don't say much because they dont want to speak to you. They give you a papercard to stamp and you can get food for your fur baby once a mth. They also take volunteers. The concept is great and glad so many dogs don't need to be rehomed because of hard times.

I have been volunteering, fostering and adopting from and supporting PAWS Atlanta for 9 years. I adopted two dogs from the program, both of whom started out as fosters. I currently have a sweet easy chihuahua potato (my foster fail) and the world’s easiest elder-bull (my foster) living happily under my roof.

I’ve watched the PAWS team in action, and they handle the work, and, sometimes, the really challenging days of rescue with grace.
I come out a couple of times a week to walk dogs and play with cats, so I get to see the shelter and the team in action, week in and week out.

They move mountains every day for animals in need: dogs and cats whose owners need a safe place for their pets to land, pets left behind by their people, animal emergencies, supporting adopters and fosters, helping potential adopters find the right fit.

Laura, Christa, Harriet, MarLee, Brandon, Michele, Cassandra, Heather, Mike, Morgan, Lillie, Lawrence, Brenna, Sam, Phillip, Al, Amanda, Zach, Dr. Erica, Kirsten, Kristen, Joe, Peyton, Delaney, and Kayla — they show up every day in a hundred different ways for the animals in their care. Watching them work is like taking a master class in being a good human being.

If you’re looking for a companion, I cannot say enough good things about the PAWS team and the hundreds of dogs and cats waiting for new homes.

I’ve been volunteering at PAWS ATL for a few months now and really love it! They take very good care of all of their animals and work hard with them to find them loving homes. I recently adopted a kitty from PAWS and the process was simple, while still making sure that adopters have the right intentions when choosing a pet. If you’re looking for a new pet friend, I can’t recommend PAWS enough!

Loved the service, everybody's so kind and patient. The going rates for their vaccines on Sunday mornings are very good as well. Definitely worth it! Just make sure to check their website before going, because they don't do it every Sunday. Much love to all the pups and their owners out there~
