I cannot begin to express my deep gratitude for every single person that works here. From Holden who spent over an hour and a half on the phone with me after hours to listen to my journey, to the extremely caring nurses, doctors, patient advocates and simply every person that comes to work here every single day. Addiction is a personal journey for every single one of us, and the staff here make you feel like you are the only one that matters. They take the time to listen to you, how you feel, why you feel a certain way, and adjust their care for. you accordingly. It you are looking for an inviting, warm, and most importantly non judgmental place to guide you along your your journey to sobriety, or even learning skills such as moderation management, and the tools you need to do so, look no further than this incredible facility with the most amazing staff on this planet. This is my second time around here, and hopefully will be the last..but I know that if I falter. this place will always welcome me with open arms. Thank you to the Parallax team for all that you do.

A friend of mine decided to use the services at Parallax to do outpatient detox. I was horrified and disgusted witnessing “the protocol”. They hand out a cocktail of potent a medication and send you on your way to manage your routine and life which will unquestionably be turned on its head. It was terrifying. This establishment is reckless (at best). I urge anyone who is making the choice to detox (especially a dangerous detox like benzos or alcohol) to seek legitimate professional assistance elsewhere.

Years ago, I vetted outpatient detox services that was capable of handling patients such as myself. Their methodology works!

In the future, should I find others in trouble needing to detox from various stages of substance abuse and are serious about taking their recovery seriously, this is the only place I would recommend.

Highly unique modality which gives the person struggling the option to detox from home in the comfort of their own surroundings and not locking them up. If this method were not available I would not be able to detox and my use would continue to spiral. Often times addiction treatment has very minimal to no options. Including the patient and treatment as much as possible collaborating with them on medications gives the patient an individualized approach dignity and a better outcome because the patient knows themselves. Furthermore the combination of medications they use are on point I had been here one time in the past and presently and these are not substances that will not go without a war. The nurse is genuinely intent on keeping me as comfortable as possible and this is not usually the case inpatient or cold turkey and often leads to relapse. Furthermore the team is very educated, compassionate in person centered. It's a great option especially if you had the barriers I have and going impatient and denying all of your responsibilities will cause more issues than detoxing.

This place rocks. They're basically god send for people trying to kick their opiate, benzodiazepines, alchohol and many others. Their main concern is to make sure you detox comfortably. And boy do they do it well. Honestly I felt no withdrawal from over 1g heroin habit. So u dont need to be sick and scoring more. Now you just have to contain your cravings, which everyone's to their own.
But from the nurses/therapist (forgot her name)sorry. but she wear brown scrubs usually. She shows genuine compassion and want you to get sober. The therapist and the doctor are cool too. The detox period, you set your time to pick up the daily comfort meds.
Most time am and pm are avail and u are quickly seen..I went to them 3 years ago, but for some unforeseen reasons i relapsed.
But now I'm back again. And i have great faith this time is it.

Their whole team is welcoming and goes above and beyond to help you. I owe it to parallax for my new found sobriety and healthy life.
