By far the absolute best healthcare facility I've ever been to. I've cared for two veteran friends and the service they receive here is without comparison. From a simple run to emergency, to a normal Dr's visit, all the way to IC, the staff, care, attentiveness, technology, equipment, design, function is top shelf...... It truly makes me proud of how we care for our veterans, they deserve this level of attention.

In August 2023 I was referred and signed up for the new weightloss program. I attended the introduction workshop. I was asked to select a preference on whatedical treatment I wanted. I selected medication. At my next video appointment with the doctor. He told me that as of right now. The va was on back order for the medication to be used. I just became frustrated waiting and gave up.

The operators at their phone line are rude. I understand the staff shortages are a things and that customer service is an undesirable field. However, being rude over the phone over a simple question is new to me. Please put effort into retraining some of these staff.

I would not recommended any Veteran for hospitalization at Palo Alto for medical observation.
I experienced multiple serious issues due to medical malpractice. I had trouble emptying my bladder and was at risk for kidney failure with an elevated PSA. After being admitted to the hospital, I had constant bleeding from an improperly installed catheter and major issues with blood draws. My left foot was neglected, causing tingling and numbness, and I needed two blood transfusions. Compression socks cut off circulation to my left foot, turning it black and blue. Despite my requests, my eye drops were not administered properly, leading to blurred vision. Lastly, I was terrorized by the person who brought me to the car.
Medical negligence.

Best hospital and staff I have seen. However, the staff her is overworked and probably under paid. I was in a four person room with one nurse. I don’t know if that is the norm, but it seems like they were running around like chickens. Thank you so much to the nurses and staff for your care and patience in 3A, 3C and 3A.A few people that deserve a few call outs, 3C Steve and Loran, 3A New took me to a bed when the front desk staff said I would have to wait in the lobby. She was already taking care of other veteran's and had no issues of helping me out then and there. The front desk staff said they were understaffed, so it made since for me to sit outside, but New hooked me up. The preop nurses were also great to me as well. Thank you for calling my wife to inform her the surgical team was running behind. I don’t remember your name, but you know who you are. Anesthesia, thanks for the rock star drugs that made it so, I didn’t get sick after the surgery.
To my ENT Dr. Niok surgical team. Top notch surgeons. Thank you for taking care of my nasal and sinus surgery. Ya’ll are the best of the best.

If you're ever in need of medical attention always come to the VA ER in Palo Alto it's recommended not going to the local urgent care facilities because of the billing and having difficulties getting such bills paid. Thank you for your services ladies and gentlemen
