Had my mare taken to Dr Harvey a few months after he had done injections on her knees. She remained somewhat lame in her right rear leg and it began swelling. So they again picked her up and took her to his clinic. She was left in a stall for 2 days and wasn’t seen until the 3rd day. Being worried since I hadn’t received any updates, I phoned several times. He accused me of causing drama and said that he could send her back unseen.
I was too worried and said that she needed to be seen; so I said no more. Then, I received a call asking (after 3 days of being there) if I would bring her feed. I had sent just enough for one and half days and was told that they would make sure that she would get senior feed twice a day. They ended up not giving her any feed- only hay. They gave her Bute for several days on essential lab empty stomach.

On the 3rd day her checked her out and did more X-rays. Did more knee injections.

I got my horse home after 5 days, having lost quite a bit of weight, her stomach hurting so much that she wouldn’t eat for nearly 2 days and still lame.

I called another vet and determined that her lameness was not her arthritis but due to a hoof wall abscess. Another vet came out and did X-rays of her hoof which ended up so bad that she ended up being put down since the other back leg, due to previous injuries was too weak to support the damaged hoof and leg.

When I told him that my horse was not given grain according to the staff, he again told me that if I wanted him to see my horse in the future, that I better not bring my drama.

This vet appears to be a misogynist and a bully. He told me that he was having to see 60 horses.

I do not recommend this vet to anyone who loves his horse.

While Dr. Harvey himself is a phenomenal vet. His so called vets on staff leave alot to be desired. One so called repro specialist couldn't hit a vein for a simple blood pull. The tries to enter a pasture (without consent) to retrieve the next mare spooking her and her filly causing injury to filly. Was literally told to wait here. While I put other horse away. Then when I contact office after they leave and telling them what transpired. I was told they won't be charging me for visit and won't be servicing account anymore because I told her (so called vet) that her impatiently trying to rush caused the problem and it was her fault. If taking to see Dr Harvey I recommend. Otherwise use great caution.

I took my horse here and was shocked by my experience. They mixed him up with another horse and each time I called for an update they would act confused. The doctor is smart and knows his stuff, but I won’t be back. They also couldn’t answer my questions regarding certain charges on the bill which was extremely concerning as well.

To anyone that uses Outlaw Equine I highly recommend finding another vet. Dr Harvey is the most disrespectful so called professional I have ever met in my life.
I took another persons horse for a scheduled 3pm appointment. I was never acknowledged..I dont know the procedure there as I have never been there for a scheduled appointment only an after hours emergency.
Dr. Harvey never said a word to me. I found a guy at a computer in the arena and asked if i check in here. He said yes and i checked in the horse. Dr Harvey said something to him and he took the horse walked him and then trotted him in a circle. They then walked to a back room where there was a pool. Again still not acknowledged. I followed. Dr Harvey turned around, as they were taking the horse down the hallway, and said oh we are going to put him in a stall because the farrier is backed up, how far do you live from here. I answered him and he said it might be best of you go home and come back. ( this was a scheduled appointment). I said are you going to do xrays today and he said maybe, maybe not. I said oh well I dont mind waiting the client wanted me to get pictures of his foot and videos. Dr Harvey grabbed the horse and said you can go somehwere else this is not a production. I was taken back by his response and i said Wow!. He flipped because i said wow to him and said you can take this horse elsewhere matter of fact which trailer is yours and i will load him. He completly went off the handle and said if she doesnt trust my work then she can go somewhere else. I said, Sir. He said DONT CALL ME SIR!. I said look im the middle man here im bringing the horse for his appointment and dont deserve to be spoken to this way. The customer wanted me to get pictures. She is a rescue and does fundraisers for these visits. He said again this isnt a production. Do you want the horse seen or not. I said yes he needs his appointment. I then started dialing the phone and he said you cant be in here and escorted me out of the facility. I have never in my life been so dispected by a professional. If this is how he treats humans, how does he treat horses when no ones around. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. NO ONE DESERVES TO BE DISRESPECTED! EVER!

Thank you, thank you! I am just beyond grateful that Doc Harvey came out so late on a busy night , thinking it would just be sutures but ended up taking x-rays and cleaning eye socket fragments out of her . Thank you to you and your assistant for taking such gentle, wonderful care of my old girl. You guys are amazing!

Dr. Harvey and staff went over and beyond to save our newborn baby donkey who was brought in at midnight unresponsive and close to death. Dr. Harvey and his staff met us there and worked thru the night to save him. Our baby donkey was in ICU there for 5 days and received incredible care and was handled by staff with lots of love. He made a remarkable recovery thanks to all their skills and compassion. Cannot thank Outlaw Equine enough!

Extremely unprofessional if you're "plus sized" you get name called, treated poorly and your horse takes HOURS AFTER SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME to be seen bc of your weight. "Tow in to whataburger" really? Extremely unprofessional office!! Don't go if you're not a picture perfect barbie!!
