I moved here from AR and needed to find a vet so I took him here because my neighbor had also just moved here and she took her dog here and it cost her $7000.00 for surgery but she was glad she could make payments. I knew coming from AR it would be more expensive here in CA but I had no idea it could cost the amount they charge! He would tell me what was wrong with my dog and what needed to be done and then as soon as he leaves the room a young girl comes in with a list of things he never mentioned that cost a arm and a leg!! So of course I said NO to all of the extra things she wanted me to sign for!! Yes that appointment was quite expensive including medicine but the second time I took him in the same thing happened again, he told me what he would like to do and what he needed to do and I of course said yes, then after he left the room in came the girl again wanting me to do a lot more at a very expensive price and I said No again only for what HE said i needed to do was what I would agree with. I told the girl that took the payments that I could not afford to keep the medicine at this cost for every month and she suggested I look online so I did and I was able to get it cheaper well the second month I tried to order the medicine again and I heard nothing back from the company so I called them and they said the vet denied the refill so I called which is always terrible to get through and had to wait 30 min for them to tell me I have to come back in for him to renew so of course I did and he added a third medication. I could go on but I will fast forward to the end of my story with my lil baby boy, he suggested I put him down which I said absolutely not to and after a few days I realized how selfish I was being and couldn’t stand to see him struggle so I made the appointment to have this done, I would just like to say you really should have a separate room for the people that are coming in to do this as I was absolutely a mess to say the least! When I was finally called into a room I didn’t even see the vet himself, one of the technicians came in to do it, she was very sweet and allowed me to hold him and then after let me set there until I could gather myself and my baby enough to leave. She was nice enough to give me a small quilt to wrap him in and I had him wrapped in his blanket he loved. All of this to say I just got a sympathy card from my groomer and it was hand written, they were thanking me for allowing them to get to know my little boy and how precious he was. I have had others tell me how they received cards from their vets office but I have not heard one word from him!! Such a devastating time in my life after loving him for 13 yrs and no longer having him yet not even a card showing empathy! I knew this place was about money and I knew there receptionist certainly needs to be in the back and not up front as she doesn’t have the personality for that job!! I won’t be getting another dog as I can’t handle going through that ever again but I have to say I don’t think if I even were I wouldn’t use this facility. There has to be a better staff at one of the other vets office than here, I’m not saying they are all harsh and rude because the girls in back have been pretty sweet. Maybe you need to have a class in customer service! Also I have read some of these post where the vet has personally put down the people that aren’t praising your name and that’s just terrible of you!! That truly shows your ego and not your compassion!!

Dr. Harry Sekhon is absolutely the BEST. He is so compassionate for our pets, addresses them by name along with addressing us by our name. He explains everything and never seems to be in a hurry. The prices have been very affordable. I really appreciate his care plans. And the secretaries up front will always do their best to get your pet in right away. I recommend this vet and this vet only. Thank you for all you do for my precious Jersey boy. You are apprecisted!

You can’t put a price on a family member’s livelihood. Oroville Animal really helped our boy out when it was noticed during a routine check a lump in his paw. A surgery and two foxtails later, he’s in recovery. Quick and easy with an accurate estimate. When you love your pet, they are family and Oroville Animal helps you treat them as such.

What a scam! I called to get a price for the heart worm shot. They wouldn't tell me over the phone. Said I have to come in and pay for an exam first. What a scam! I said what if the price is to high ? Then I don't get my money back for the exam and I have to go somewhere else and pay again. She said she needs to know my pets weight and I told her exactly how much he weighs and she said again well you have to come get an exam first. I said I just told you how much he weighs and she hung up the phone on me.

New to the area and unfortunately needed a vet to put my cat down. They we're able to get me in same day and all the staff were kind and wonderful in this hard and stress full time. I will definitely be using them for my senior dog future vet needs Thank you ?

They tried to help my puppy the best they could. When we arrived they were kind and worked quickly to help her. They are very compassionate and caring. I plan on taking the rest of my dogs here in the future.
