You know it’s a good place when your dog gets “wiggle butts” when checking in because they remember the people that work there. Great place!! I would trust them to leave my dog for any amount of time.

Olive hill did a fantastic job with the introduction to gun training with my Bracco Italiano puppy. All staff was very professional and updated me each week on the progress of my pup. Will definitely be back for more in-depth training with current and future dogs. Highly recommend.

Olive Hill Dog Kennels stands out for their exceptional training and care. Our family, including a German Shepherd/American Bulldog mix, two Vizslas, and a Labradoodle, received personalized attention from Nicole, Dave, and Daryl. They skillfully assessed each dog, providing tailored training that brought out their natural talents. The obedience training for our German Shepherd is impressive, and the specialized game training for the Vizslas and Labradoodle is eagerly anticipated.

The facility's cleanliness and the team's evident love for dogs made the experience both enjoyable and reassuring. It's clear that Olive Hill excels not just in training, but in creating a nurturing environment for the dogs. Highly recommend for any dog owner seeking quality, caring training services.

Bought a Brittany puppy here. The experience was great! We got a great dog! Had our first puppy training today that they include with the purchase of a dog. The trainer was great too. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a bird dog.

I purchased a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon from OHK and could not be more pleased. I read these reviews only after I had flown across the country to pick up my pup and have to say this was not the same experience I had... Not even remotely close. The owner and her husband were super friendly, very knowledgeable, and beyond accommodating. I toured the kennel which was VERY clean and all the dogs looked happy to be there and well taken care of. I left with a great puppy who is becoming a phenomenal bird dog, in great health, and just an amazing companion. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Its easy to internet bash a company on Yelp but I would recommend seeing it for yourself.

We boarded our Queensland Healer back in October. Originally, we wanted boarding and training because our dog needed some basic training. Sierra doesn’t respond well to men and the trainer decided that it was in our dogs best interest to board her only. We will definitely use Olive Hill again.

Took my dog for training. Was pleased with Jessie the trainer. I was concerned about leaving my dog, while I wanted him perfected as a bird dog, I didn't want his enthusiasm dampened. Jessie did a good job of training him without curbing his drive. If you're considering training, meet with Jessie he knows what he is doing.

I don't know what the owner of the place thinks is going on, but clearly the trainer at the kennels has not read the marketing spiel on their combined web site (with Quail Point Hunt Club). I left my German Shorthair Pointer with the trainer for three weeks at age 7 months. Each week I got a call from the trainer telling me my dog had no prey drive, and that he would not hunt. I went to see for myself on the third weekend, and saw my dog cowering whenever the trainer came close. I did not see him abuse my dog, but the dog showed indications of fear. The trainer took him out into the field, but could not get him to retrieve, point, or show any interest in live birds. When they came in, I took the dog and a live bird to the same field and he gave me three retrieves to my hand in a row. I took the dog home with me the same day, and two weeks later I took him to the breeder I had purchased him from to see if she could help with training. In two weeks she had him pointing, retrieving, and generally going nuts whenever there was a live bird around. This dog has nothing but prey drive, but will not work when afraid of the trainer. I would not risk a dog, particularly a dog that is also a family pet, with this kennel or trainer.
