I've been trying to hold off on this bad review hoping they would get better but I've been getting my scripts filled here for months and the experience has been worse and worse. I've been a certified and licensed pharmacy technician and previously worked in the field for nearly ten years so I have a lot of experience, not to mention working in clinical medical care as well. So my foundation for understanding their shortcomings is very thorough. They get two stars because they actually do fill my medications (eventually) when needed, and give them to me, which is the bare minimum. However, I have come across no shortage of issues with this pharmacy starting from when I asked them to transfer my prescriptions from other pharmacies. I gave them a very detailed list of what I did and didn't need filled, and where those came from, as I was moving from out of state. I had just had surgery so my meds I needed and didn't need were very important, and I also could not get around for myself. From the very first day they screwed all of those up and filled medications I did not need, multiples of them...as well as not even transferring the medication from my surgery from one pharmacy because the pharmacist had transcribed the phone number wrong and they made no effort to try and figure out how to contact that pharmacy including googling or calling me. I didn't find out things were missing or had not been followed up on until I showed up to pick up my medication. Since then they have repeatedly had mistakes or lack of consistency, treated me with rudeness every time I have interacted with them, their staff seem to have incredibly low knowledge, skill/training, or autonomy, they failed to have things on auto refill time and time again though I continue to ask so I still have to call on one thing or another every single month. Their website and app are very low quality. Recently I had medication doses changed by my doctor and called to check and make sure that they were filled, the technician I spoke to had no idea what I meant by "medication dose" and had to refer me to the pharmacist (with an attitude) just to answer a simple question about what dose was being filled/what strength my medication was. Not only that, but they do not pay attention to their patients, I have been getting all of my meds filled on 90 days since I started going there and yet I repeatedly have times where they get filled for 30 days, even medications I have had before. When I was a pharmacy technician it was regular service for me to contact the doctor and ask for the day supply of the script to be changed if what was sent in did not match what the patient had gotten before, if they was even the issue. One of those refills still had 90-day supplies on a script that had not changed, and instead of filling the script that was going to expire first, that was already 90-day supply, they just filled the newest one for 30 days instead. This is extremely poor pharmacy practice, it all but ensures that patients will run out of prescriptions before they are supposed to because older prescriptions have a sooner expiration date and should be filled first. It just seems to me there are a lot of best practices not being followed that are very commonly known and practiced in the industry and make patient's lives easier.

Not only that, but I feel like I cannot ask any questions here, I am not treated with courtesy, they do not seem willing to help me out or go the extra mile about anything. Which is a huge shame because those kind of services are the reason that I stick with local small pharmacies instead of having to go to these big box chains like CVS and Walmart. I worked for CVS, as well as an independent pharmacy, and I know that I would rather give my money to the little guy. But after so many frustrating interactions with this pharmacy, I am debating transferring my medication to Walmart, and just dealing with their issues instead.

They’ve been charging me anywhere from 3x to 5x the amount for my co-pay for prescriptions ($25 for a $5 prescription). Called my insurance to check on the discrepancy. My insurance company said that the pharmacy is over charging for all my prescription and the co-pay is all they’re gonna pay and that the pharmacy would have to reimburse me or take it as a loss. Watch out with this they will not tell you upfront know the cost of your prescription co-pay before going here.

This is the one of the worst local businesses around. I never go here for many reasons but unfortunately, I had to in order to send off a time-sensitive UPS package. I sent it off using 2nd Day Air on a Wednesday, and was told it "should" get to the destination by Friday but definitely by Saturday. It arrived 7+ days later. I called UPS and they said I would need to call the store where I sent it in order to get a refund. I called the owner of the store he took down the tracking # and said he will file the claim. He didn't ask for my name, phone number or any other info. I even questioned him about further info and he said he didn't need it, that it was all in the computer. It is now March 6th and I still do not have a refund. I called the store and he doesn't even have the professionalism as a business owner to get on the phone but instead have his employees be the messenger. The young lady I spoke with called me back and said I need to file a claim online. I already tried that and UPS indicates it must be done through the store it was sent from. So in other words, the owner lied and never filed a claim when he told me he would take care of everything back in February. Moral of the story, do not use this UPS store they are horrible, unprofessional and dishonest.

I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I switched my grandma's meds here a few years back and have NEVER had any issues. I couldn't tell you the stress I had with Walgreens. My grandma had a lot of medications and every month is was always something. The pharmacists do their jobs here. Even when we moved to Rockford for about a year, they offered to give my grandma free delivery just to keep her business. There is only one downside that I wished they had. A drive thru would make it perfect. Make the switch. You won't regret it.

I’ve used Obrien’s for going in 30 years. Because they’re a small pharmacy and not some chain pharmacy they get to know you and your medications. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. They take care of their customers as best as they can. It may take them a day or 2 to get what you need but they go out of their way to get it for you.
As long as you call in your meds on time you should have no problems.

I came in there with my son, who had a prescription, early this week. We asked if they accepted his insurance and they didn't know (?) they had to run it through first. It's a popular insurance, I don't understand why they wouldn't know if they accept it. So we waited for them to 'run it through', & we waited, and we waited until it had been almost 1/2 hour, also it wasn't busy at the time. All we were waiting for at that time was to see if it would go through, not even waiting for it to be filled yet. So my son finally asked about it and the woman gave him back his card & prescription, never said a word to us about it! We just left and went elsewhere at that point. I have tried going to that Pharmacy for around 5 yrs and have always found the employee's in that dept. to be very rude. Totally unfriendly & ignore you while you wait in line. I have never seen a Pharmacy like this and I never will again!

They are extremely unprofessional and rude.first they hung up on me purposely when I tried to get my child's father prescription for insulin filled. Then they told me they hung up because I was arguing with my ex about them not filling it. Then they tried to tell me they would fill it if I gave them over 500$ even though last month it was only 18$.I already spoke with his Dr. Who told me it was sent over January 5th . So someone from there deleted his prescription or they are lying about it not being there.. I know his Dr isn't going to lie about sending over a prescription. Would have given them no stars if I could have. I smell a lawsuit. The only one who was polite was Jazmine a young woman who worked in the store not the pharmacy.Jazmine is an intelligent very polite and knowledgeable young lady and I think she deserves a raise for all her hard work.

My experience with the pharmacy is very bad customer service getting prescriptions.. I tried to explain to the girl as what she needed to do to get my meds covered all she did was yell at me .unprofessional
