My Husband was in there for rehab, had been in the past too. He likes it over all. They have a few " friendly" employees. As for the food, it's very good, sometimes I think they eat better than I do for all meals. The medical staff is good. I understand that they have a lot of people to tend to medically. Overall I think the Center is a decent place. " If " you feel things aren't being done " on time" talk to someone in the management area, if you feel they are not doing " enough or what they are supposed to do" as per the doctors orders, then contact your doctor, he/she will " give them a call" mine did . Nice place.

My sister in law has been here 4 weeks and has lost 12 pounds due to poor nutrition. Visited her three days ago and found she has been w/o tv or help buzzer for over a week. Office staff & ladies on the floor do not seem to care about helping or making the patient comfortable or showing compassion.

Due to medical issues, I’ve had to go to rehab three times now after hospitalization. The first two rehab places I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to, and after my Latest setback I absolutely was not going go to rehab at all. I’d rather to have been at my home trying to hobble around, than to endure another horrible rehab facility. Oaks at Avon was recommended to me from the hospital I was in and I have to say although it’s not close to my home The distance is so worth it. The facility is clean. The employees are phenomenal Carol is one of the best nurses I’ve ever met, Anita in admissions is incredible and then there’s Stacey - One of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen, anything that’s needed She gets done, any information that needs to be sent She makes sure it gets to where it needs to be. She goes above and beyond To make sure her patients Are taken care of and comfortable. You don’t run across people with as much compassion, empathy, care, and well-being of others as you do with an employee such as Stacey!!! CNA’s Sasha, Heather, Liliana and Others are exceptional as well. The people in the therapy department are the absolute best!!! I can’t even begin to tell you how much they have helped me Recover and I’m so thankful for them. If you’re looking for an excellent place, your loved one needs to get the best treatment from I encourage you to send them to Oaks at Avon.

So far so great in my book I wish I could dbl this star rating my mom is being taken such wonderful care her roommate is also been well taken care of. Excellent overall staffing reviews, food cleanliness even Dr response time ! PT oT CNA RN housekeeping maintenance everyone should I just mentioned should b proud of themselves and be rewarded with something idk keep up rhe wonder compassionate care y'all

We recently brought our mother to the Oaks at Avon for long term care. We have no complaints with the nurses. They were very nice and showed compassion to our mom. However, that is where the compliments stop. Her toilet leaked dirty water on the floor of the bathroom and maintenance told us the seal needed replacement. That should have been fixed immediately but in stead they wrapped the base of the toilet with towels. This is a huge health risk and in my opinion they should have fixed the problem immediately or moved her to an empty room, of which we were told they had 40 empty beds. The worst part of this facility was the finance person who I dealt with. She was rude and when I questioned the amount due she became quite snippy with me. I never said I wouldn’t pay, I only questioned what I thought she stated the day prior. She contacted her supervisor and they agreed to allow weekly payments for my mother who was self pay. That is when the conversation turned nasty. I was told that “if you don’t pay on time, even if it’s a day late, we will notify the front desk and you and your sisters will not be allowed in to see your mother”. This was the last straw since she had made other comments to me about my mother who as Alzhaimer’s. The comments made by her were as if she thought she was a doctor, which she was not one. We removed my mother from that facility that same day and I will never recommend them to anyone so long as that department continues to employ people like this. Disgusting!

The DeWitt family was EXTREMELY thankful for the professionalism & loving consideration you gave to our matriarch! These past 4 weeks were most tolerable (even through Hurricane Ian) thanks to YOUR facility! We witnessed the team's interactions with not our loved one, but with others as well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
