1) They advertise home visits for farm animals and that's the reason I switched. They never came to my home when I tried to schedule a home visit. I was always expected to bring my goats into the office which was never a fun experience. 2) I brought my dog in for a routine vaccine visit over 1.5 yrs ago. She had an episode just 2 days prior where I had to call the emergency vets who said if she's eating and drinking it's not an emergency. Because I had that appointment scheduled (and the next day my dog felt much better) I decided to wait for the appointment to bring it up. From what I described, the veterinarian doctor brought in an ultrasound machine and that's when she found a "rapid-growing" tumor attached to my dog's spleen. She cancelled the vaccines (which was what I went in there for) and told me to enjoy my dog and keep her comfortable, I may have just about 6 months with her. $1800 for that appointment. I had just received my new Care Credit in the mail (I had not activated yet) which I left at home because I was not planning on using it for a vaccine visit. I explained the situation to the Vet Tech and told her I will activate my Care Credit and call as soon as I get home to pay. (I have never had an outstanding balance for any of my animals since going to that office). I was told I couldn't leave until I paid. So I called my husband and had to place payment on his credit card for them to allow me to leave. I brought my dog in one other time for her nails and they questioned me as to why I haven't gotten her vaccines. I explained that the vet dr cancelled her vaccine appointment stating my dog only had a few months to live. 1.5 yrs later my dog is now at the end of her life. She started going down hill fast just a few days ago. I called the clinic to discuss putting her down at home because I cannot lift her in a car and she cannot get in the car on her own anymore. I was told because it has been a little over a year since she was seen that they can't discuss that over the phone. That they have to schedule a Home Visit first. I am absolutely disgusted. They want to rack up a bill only to tell me that my dog has cancer and it's time for her to be put down. Something I, the owner, already knows. It's a painful time having to make a decision like this for my dog that has been part of our family for 13 years! It is absolutely unnecessary to require a Home Visit to state the obvious only to conclude the inevitable. I understand it's a business but these are also the lives of animals. And during painful times like this, there is no need to rack up someones bill at the end of life.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Norwich Veterinarian Hospital. My cat was suffering immensely, and their misdiagnosis led to his death. When I brought him in, I suspected he had been hit by a car—his jaw was swollen, a tooth was broken in half, and he was limping and howling in pain.

The vet claimed he had a dislocated hip and prescribed medication that only made him sluggish and high. It didn’t alleviate his pain or address the real issue. I kept feeling that something more was wrong, but they brushed it off as a hip problem and only recommended X-rays, as if that was their go-to solution.

Tragically, last night—he passed away in agony, howling in pain. It was devastating to watch. I believe their inability to properly diagnose and treat him cost him his life. I wouldn’t trust this place with any pet again. My cats name was Oscar He was 14 years old he was healthy he always went outside and he protected my house he had a little cute color with a businessman tye on it he was and forever will be my son and business man Im only 17 and I would've given my arm and leg for you Oscar I love you so much. These people just wanted the money; $300 just so they can misdiagnose you is crazy. I love you, Oscar. Forget this clinic with their corrupt corporate style.

We are first-time cat parents, and this vet is close to our house, so it is very convenient for us. Our cat is a rescue and very nervous at the vet and around other people, but all the staff here do a wonderful job making him feel comfortable, and answering all our questions. We are fortunate that our little guy hasn't had any major health concerns, only routine wellness visits, but as he gets older, I am reassured knowing that his vet is close by and that they are well-equipped to provide excellent care for our fluffy boy.

At our most recent visit, we did have to wait to be seen as they were very busy, but it actually was to our benefit, as it gave our cat a chance to get used to the exam room before the visit so he was able to relax a little.

I’ve been patronizing this veterinarian for several years. For the last two years, my two frenchies have been patients of Dr. Pacheco. She was always my Dr of choice due to a “great bedside manner” with my babies. Dr. Pacheco and I had discussed breeding Blaze for her upcoming heat. Unfortunately, when I called today I was informed that Dr. Pacheco is no longer with the practice. The tech I spoke with reminded me that there were other Dr. I know, but they are NOT Dr. Pacheco. Very disappointed with the way her patients were told or NOT told until I reached out. I will begin the search again for a DVM with a “great bedside manner.”

My cats annual checkup was this past month and again had a very positive experience at this veterinarian hospital. Staff was helpful in coming out to my car to assist with bringing in and bringing out my cats. I was fortunate to be seen early and did not have to wait long in the exam room. The veterinarian was very professional during the exam and ensured my questions were answered. My cats will be repeat customers as long as we are in the area.

I have brought my dog there for multiple reasons and always felt that they upcharged the bill. Today I brought her in for blood and mucus in her stool. They ran all kinds of tests and came back in saying that she had Lyme but it wasn’t causing the current issues and that they recommended feeding her rice and chicken for a few days. Then they started talking about giving her an IV for fluids even though she was drinking water regularly. I looked at the computer and saw that my bill was going to be around 600 and I started telling the Vet tech that she didn’t need all those things. The Tech who is obviously paid by commission got mad and then asked if I stole some medication. When I said no she said “well that’s weird since I know I brought it in here.” She then left the room and found the medication that she never actually brought in the room. This place should b looked into for scamming people.

There's ample parking on the side with an entrance near the underpass, compact car parking in front, and a ball field parking lot across the street. The staff is courteous and juggles a busy office well. The vets are kind and patient with repeat questions. There's not a whole lot of space on the waiting room to keep distance between pets, but it's clean, comfortable and has complimentary refreshments.
