Dr.Fan was thorough, gave us options to consider for various treatments and answered all of our questions. We were very please with our visit. MDVM always provides great and friendly service to our pets. My dog isn't always thrilled about having a visit, but she knows the drill, sits on the scale upon entering & goes happily with whichever tech comes out to get her. My most recent visit was for a vaccine, but I had a question for the doc regarding a past follow-up visit that required a visual. She took a quick peek and advised, and we were on our way without need to schedule another visit. Our pets health plan stayed on track. Thanks Dr Fan!!

We were recommended to this vet by two close friends who would brag that they had the best vet in the area, they weren't lying. Our 13.5 yo lab - the last survivor of his litter of 8 - would not be alive and doing as well as he has been since we have been going there. Dr. Tam, is one of the most thorough, kind, and compassionate people we have ever met. While having a 13.5 year old Lab has its difficulties Dr. Tam has had to deliver hard news to our family which shook us to our core. When Dr. Tam told us our dog could pass away from the type of cancer he had she did not hesitate to highlight every possible option to keep him happy and healthy. We drive an hour plus each time to the vet in order to ensure our dog is truly taken care of and we have finally found that at this Vet Clinic. They always go above and beyond for all of their patients and are there to answer your questions in which many other vets pass you to a vet tech, a nurse or a front desk assistant. We have visited numerous vets around the bay area and this clinic has never not let us down. I have recommended this Vet Clinic to every dog lover I could come across and many have gone up and have said the exact same. I recommend this place to every animal lover who would go above and beyond for their own fur babies - just like our vets do. From the bottom of our hearts this veterinary clinic deserves as many stars as we could possibly give.

TL;DR: Avoid. They care more about billing than they do about your dog. I’d add the pictures of my dog’s sore, but it’s probably graphic as it’s bloody.

My dog had a sore and the Vet didn’t even properly check it even though it was mentioned on our visit. They don’t check your dog with you in the room. Their customer service is as bad as the vet. They also pressure you to do tests that make no sense.

I always feel like my dog (German Wirehair Pointer) is well cared for by Dr Tam and her staff. She is a good listener, very well educated in her field and compassionate. I appreciate her and the staff at MDVC!

Great veterinary practice. My dog has gotten vaccines and a dental cleaning done with them. The staff is friendly and they make sure you and your pet are comfortable. My dogs teeth were so clean after her cleaning and she was very well taken care of. Highly recommend!

I don't understand why the front desk has to be so rude. Makes me want to go someplace else. I've had other vets, and most veterinarian reception areas are staffed with positive people. Sometimes I wonder if the staff at Mount Diablo's doesn't want to be there. Kind of a negative vibe. I'm currently shopping for vets now due to my last experience. It's a shame. Wanted to give this place a shot. Only reason I gave it to stars is because when the techs return my animal me after they have given him a shot or other in the back room, they are at least Pleasant and informative.
