I was fortunate to have an amazing recovery coach through Mountainside, Travis Alfonso! He was a huge support in my early recovery. I could go to him with anything. He checked in frequently and we always had great sessions. He's what I'll miss most after moving on from Mountainside. Highly recommend working with him, especially if you're just starting your recovery journey. He always keeps it real and meets you on your level. Thanks for everything, Travis!

I completed the alcohol detox for 6 nights, leaving reset and ready to conquer the world & addiction. Not only do they provide an exquisite experience, they set you up for success pairing you with dedicated & authentic recovery coaches. I have the pleasure to be coached by Travis Alfonso. I ADORE Travis’ passion, authenticity, & consistency. He’s so non-judgemental with me, hands on and overall simply amazing. I got introduced to this great group a few weeks ago by Travis who leads the Monday evening program, and have loved going back ever since. The space is beautiful, there's always a wonderful buffet of snacks, and Travis leads the meetings with confidence and consideration.

I love the format of the meetings, and it's such a great way to connect with my sobriety by sharing experiences in a dialogue as opposed to the standard recovery meeting format of a 3 minute share. I recommend anyone interested in advancing their sobriety with a group of thoughtful and likeminded people to come to one of Travis' meetings. Five stars all around!

I went to my 1st meeting at mountainside because the facilitator invited me, and I wanted to support.

This was my 1st experience at mountainside, and I was thoroughly impressed with their recovery center. It's warm and inviting, with a calming energy flowing throughout.

This was my 1st meeting with Travis as a facilitator. He instantly put me at ease made me feel welcomed, and made me feel I was in a safe space. He thoroughly engages with everyone that shows up,drawing everyone into the conversation. You're there to do work, and you're reminded of that. I was so appreciative of that. I felt like I was there for a reason, felt safe and protected. I also knew instinctively from his energy that he will guide the directional jeep it on course.

If you are in search of a group session other than a traditional AA meeting then search no more: Facing Recovery with Travis is where it’s at. Attending his meetings is the highlight of my week. Travis has created a safe, judgement-free and inclusive space for anyone on a path toward a drug or alcohol-free lifestyle. Mountainside’s clean, serene, and minimalist facility provides a calming and relaxed environment to gather in. Highly recommend for New Yorkers.
