We are easily the top one percent of all pet owners and will do anything for our animals. Our dogs go to specialists and get things like acupuncture, so I have pretty high expectations for a vet when I go somewhere with our babies. We have been going to our same vet for over 25 years now and although we love them, they are just too busy to see us anymore (upwards of two weeks for an appointment) and they don't work weekends. This has been a struggle for us as working people trying to take care of our pack of animals as we rescue animals and have a full house. We easily spend at least $10,000 a year on vet care, so I do have high expectations that we are treated as the great clients that we are. Since we visit the vet often, we expect that small town feel like knowing our names when we come in and getting to know us as people and Mountain View seems like it will be that kind of place. Recently, on a Sunday one of our babies anal gland abscessed and Mountain View was kind enough to get us in. We live on the other side of the mountain so it is a decent drive, however we are very grateful that they got our girl Toot's in. Dr. Sabotka gave her the medication she needed and did the other tests that we requested all within a respectable amount of time. Overall, a fantastic vet that we are happy to have found that cares about animals and their people by being available to their patients. We are very grateful we found Mountain View!

Doctor "D" and his staff are absolutely amazing, caring and professional! Randy the clinic manager, and Jennifer in the front reception are fantastic, as is the rest of the employees. The new facility on Fox Farm Rd. is "state of the art". Recommend hands down for sure! Poppy loves them too!

Visiting from Nevada when our senior dog became very sick. Called in the morning and obtained an appointment within hours. The vet was very compassionate and assessed the dog to determine if she could make the ride back to Nevada the next day, with medication that he was prescribing. She has had a couple of rough painful nights and it was a blessing to find someone so compassionate and caring. Highly recommend them.

Our cat got out and got in a fight with another cat. We brought her in for some puncture wounds, and some of her claws had been torn out. Dr D gave her the very best care. He explained everything to us in detail: what he was going to do and why. Very thoughtful and thorough.

Here’s the bad part: this is a first class five star vet hospital. It was a lot more expensive than I was expecting, but our cat did get the very best care which is all that is really important. Here are some prices so you will be prepared.
Exam $79.50
Covenia (antibiotic) $95.95
Gabapentin liquid (pain killer) $45.00
Subcutaneous fluids $65.00
Total $285.45
On the bright side, I could see an improvement in her on the way home. I guess you get what you pay for.

Our dog ate a Bee and flipped out. I think WE flipped out more. We rushed to Mountain View Animal Hospital and they were great. The staff was friendly. The facility was clean and welcoming. The doctor was great. Highly recommend. They were able to get us in just about right away even without an appointment.

10 BILLION STARS!!! Thank God I went and tried this vet! We just had an EXCELLENT experience! We took in a stray a few months ago, and he was doing well until a couple weeks ago. He withdrew from us and started itching like crazy, to the point of giving himself opens wounds! I was so stressed out about it last Saturday because it seemed to be reaching a fever pitch. We had had him neutered at Rimforest Animal Hospital so I tried calling and of course they're not open on Saturdays, but I received an automatic kickback text message saying if it was an emergency to take him to MarQueen Emergency in Upland. I ended up doing that. The people there were VERY nice, but the vet barely looked at him, recommended he be put under, shaved, cleaned, given an antibiotic shot, a steroid shot, medicine for fleas, (I had never seen a flea on him, mind you). I had said yes to all this at first, but ended up quickly changing my mind and asked them to just give the shots, which they did, and sent us home. So, unfortunately, the vet in Upland did not take into account our dry mountain environment, and the fact that we don't have fleas up here. My cat did much better for a couple days, but then started feeling itchy again. Again, Rimforest couldn't get him in for another 6 days, so I tried Mountain View--thinking they're going to have to sedate and shave him--do all the things. Jennifer was fantastic in getting me in to see the doctor, the doctor was fantastic... didn't think my cat needed to be shaved, but recognized it could be environment or food allergy so let's treat for both. The ER had given my cat a steroid shot, but it was a very short lasting one, so here they gave him a much longer lasting one, and another food to try for allergies. I had asked if my cats nails could be clipped, and the doctor said that's a good idea so he doesn't do as much damage to himself, so they did all of this so quickly. I was in and out in 30 minutes, and yet didn't feel rushed at all. I love that they are open 7 days a week too! I cannot be more thrilled with my experience and will be telling all my friends about them! Thank you, Mountain View!!

A lady was quoted $300 over the phone for an emergency euthanasia for her 14 yr old dog who had cancer and was in SEVERE pain. She reached out to the community because she did not have the funds. Someone kindly donated $300 for the dog to be put out of pain. They showed up and they said it was a miscommunication, it was actually $600. Then they wouldn't put the dog down until the lady could get the rest of the money, making that poor dog wait in EXTREME PAIN AND AGONY.
I've never heard of a vet denying emergency euthanasia until payment is made. What poor practice, to put that lady through that when she's already losing her furry family member of 14 yrs.
Go to DR. KIM at BEAR CITY ANIMAL HOSPITAL.
She's kind and compassionate and not greedy for money making animals suffer unnecessarily.
I'm absolutely disgusted and heartbroken for the lady. Way to make an already terrible day worse.
