I can't express enough how happy I am with the care my husband is getting at Morristown Post Acute. The nurses show compassion and treat him with such respect. He suffers from dementia and they have more patience with him than I could ever have. He's on the 3rd floor and while all of the nurses are outstanding, I usually speak with Tameka and she is the best. She answers every question I have and explains everything about his treatment to me. I also am grateful for the quarterly meetings. Keeping me updated on everything from medication to what he eats and even his haircuts makes me know that they are giving him the best of care. Everyone on staff that I have contact with at the facility goes above and beyond.

This is the second rehabilitation center that my wife has entered in the last 6 months after 2 hospital stays. I will say that the transitional wing that she was in was well run and the nurses and aids were very attentive to her needs. The evening nurse, Michele, was exceptional and the rehab seemed to be well adjusted. I wasn’t there during the day, but my wife said they were always available. Mostly, I liked that the Doctors were always responsive to my concerns and questions.
If there were to be a negative, it would be the meals - very institutional, same food just prepared differently and covered with something to make it presentable. Not very tasty. I would recommend this facility for short term care.

The initial experience was not good. Either the system is poorly managed by the people running it or it is faulty. My first impression was an uncoordinated system and management. My mother was brought in the morning and already situated in her room. But when we came in the afternoon to discuss her stay, we were informed that she has not been brought in yet. After waiting for about an hour and half, I called Morris Medical Center where she was to come from. They informed me that she had been transported a while ago and gave me the exact time she was admitted in the rehab facility. Only after then was I informed that she had been assigned a room. I received this information after waiting for nearly two hours and calling Morris Medical Center.

The first time I walked into the fifth floor, it was smelling. There seems to be a sense of apprehension among the staff. As if someone is coming to put them down. During the initial two days of my mother being there, the wait time to attend to her was too long. On one occasion, no one came and the reason they proffered was that she called when they were changing shifts. It appears that they ignore the red button when it is pressed. On some occasions, she used the bathroom on her own since no one will answer her button.

I must note that on subsequent days, the service improved, the response time became faster and the staff were more personable. Generally, the staff need closer supervision and some orientation in professionalism. The rehab has the potential to be a first class center for patients and families alike

I love the esthetics of this great facility. While being directly across the street from the hospital gives the confidence that any emergency will be dealt with quickly. However, with the nursing staff at Morristown Post Acute and their attention to detail affords them the opportunity to solve any concerns before they become an emergency. The Director of Nursing Mike welcomed in the loved one and I can tell he runs a great nursing team. The team worked on the discharge planning process from the beginning as there entire goal was to get her back home safely from the beginning. A big shout out to the aids who answered call bells within 7 minutes and were so caring. There was therapy on the weekend which quite frankly helped quicken the discharge. I am thankful for Morristown post acute and highly recommend that anyone needing a rehab facility go to Morristown post acute.

When Princeton Care Center shut down abruptly on 9/1/2023, the families had just a few hours notice to relocate their loved ones.

Morristown Post Acute stepped up and took our Mom (and many others) in and saw that the transition was as painless as possible. She was safely in bed by midnight. We completed the paperwork the next day, and finished moving her in.

For this we are eternally grateful!

The staff has been wonderful! My husband has been receiving physical and occupational therapy since we left Morristown Hospital and is showing nice progress. A shout out to our Nurse Ester and Admin Michelle for all of their help and support.

My experience in this facility has been incredible I've been here for about 8years and find the staff to be amazing. The therapist here are impeccable and kind I highly recommend this facility for others. We also have an amazstaffing coordinator named Nathalie, she is very sweet and respects us all. She tries to help us when she can and that makes me feel good. The food could be better. And I love our nurses and CNA's.

My mother, who has Alzheimer's Disease, has been in this facility since 2017. My experience with the 3rd floor has been nothing but good both for mom and my family. I can't thank enough her aids, but most of all the ones that I interact with on a regular basis. Betty is an angel, she keeps my mom clean, comfortable and happy along with the others including Natasha, Odette, Connie, Tamika, Janet and including administration Martine!!! Our journey with this disease has been very heartbreaking and more so for my mom 🙁 but the staff at Morristown has made this journey "safe" and "peaceful". I feel guilt free when I leave her alone because I know she is in good hands. Thank you everyone on the 3rd floor!! I WILL ALWAYS BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT, CARE AND LOVE THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN MY MOM!
