My beautiful girl, Chloe was diagnosed with MCT's (cancer that spreads through tumors). She is a pitty mix, 7.5/8 years old.

We were referred to Dr. Basak-Smith by a friend of mine. We couldn't have been more lucky. Dr. Basak-Smith is passionate about his patients and will explore any health conscience avenue available instead of just pumping your beloved pet with generic medications. Alternative medicine like Ozone therapy has been life changing for Chloe!

He is not local to us, as we travel almost an hour to get Chloe her surgeries, and treatment. HE IS that worth it. His kindness towards my Chloe, his abundant care, and affordable services make this very difficult diagnosis that much less stressful. Chloe loves their staff, as do I. Very kind, warm and treat your fur baby like their own. What more could you really ask for?

I have recommended Dr. Basak-Smith to multiple people, including family members. His staff is tight knit, and you're treated like patient, not a payment. We love them, and you would too!

Today was an exceptional day- Dr. David Basak-Smith and his staff were AMAZING today as I experienced an emergency with my pal, my best friend, my beloved dog. I can’t thank the staff and practice enough as my dog is now home recuperating with me. This is one wonderful vet. Kind, compassionate, dedicated, diligent, committed, caring, capable, highly skilled, knowledgeable and polite. Wonderful surgeon, Doc, and they have extended one of my pup’s quality of life through stem cell treatment. Cutting edge medicine. Wouldn’t take any of my three dogs elsewhere. Doc and the entire MTC family really care! And it shows. Once I had an emergency and contacted Doc’s phone, while he was on vacation, out of the country I believe, and he returned my text right away. So special, my entire extended family goes here, because MTC Vet makes you feel like family and their love for are pets is equivalent to the love and bond we have with our furry friends. Dr. Basak-Smith at Monroe Town and Country has been my veterinarian for over 30 years! The team at that office is always super friendly and knowledgeable and they genuinely love all of their patients!! We lived in PA for 2 years and even though I had a "back up vet" for emergencies, I still drove the 3 and a half hours back to CT for routine check ups and shots.
