I have been a resident here since 2017, I can definitely say that the staff has become a part of my family, the staff here are great and caring people. My mom also became a resident here for 3 months and they also treated her like family until she pass last year they were nice enough to allow me to have a celebration of life for her.

Monroe health and rehab has grown so much in many positive ways. The Nursing and Rehab Depts are wonderful and provide excellent care. The facility has had many updates and has its own in house Dialysis Dept. Highly recommend for short or long term care.

My grandmother was placed in this facility for temporary treatment. During this transition period she was mistreated by poor management and lack of staff once transferred to the second unit. The facility is unprofessional and not ideal . I tried calling for 45 minutes straight to the direct line.

To inform and communicate with the staff that my grandmother and her roommate hasn’t be changed nor has the staff made proper rounding on the patients. No one was attentive to the call bells ringing and the concerns were not addressed. I Made the attempt this morning to contact Mar-get , but was unable to. The DON, Beverly has yet to follow up with me in regards of this issue. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Some of the staff should concentrate more on patient care than offering their unsolicited opinions on what they think should or should not be done, related to the patient’s recovery and rehab. It is always more fun to try on a different hat of responsibility than it is to do the job they were hired to do!

my grandmother was here after a car accident. She was never once taken out of her bed unless family took her outside, she was given the wrong meds, and one day was only brought two items for breakfast “because she didn’t eat it all in the past” one day after discharge she was admitted for severe dehydration, and blood clots. I do not recommend this nursing home to anyone that loves their family members and wants them taken care of the correct way.

If you have any other options at all, PLEASE choose another facility. My father passed away under their “care” at the age of 66. The day before he was actively dying, the doctor told us both that “he wasn’t going to die”. 12 hours later I was being called because there was a “change in status”. I arrived to find my dad who was alert and talking hours before, completely unresponsive, burning up, and seizing. I was told the doctor was on the way but he didn’t arrive for HOURS. I was alone with my daughter and no one would tell me what was going on or why 911 wasn’t being called. Once the doctor arrived he said “your dad is DNR and if we call they will intubate him immediately which is not what he wanted”. Meanwhile no one was treating my dad at all. DNR is far different than do not treat! After hours of him seizing they finally were able to give him meds to help but they never once called the ambulance. I watched my dad die and the care team came in to change him once that day. He passed away shortly after 4am the next day and I didn’t see or receive ONE phone call from the doctor that day or after until the facility called days later to ask my dad to take a survey about the care he received. I wish I was able to handle the shock better to speak up for my dad and fight harder, maybe he would still be here. It’s too late for that but it’s not too late to warn others and potentially save another life by keeping you away from here.

Do not reply telling me to contact your complaint department - there is nothing they can do to make this right.

My grandmother was here after a car accident. I do not recommend this place for anyone that cares and loves their family members. She was never taken out of her bed unless family got her up out of the bed, She was given the wrong medication thankfully it was only for anxiety. One day she was only brought two items for breakfast because they claimed that she did not eat her breakfast in the past. Now 24 hours after her discharge, she is in the hospital in MICU for severe dehydration and blood clots and numerous infections.

Excellent facility! The entire staff from the medical director to nursing to therapy is extremely attentive and compassionate. The skilled services provided are top notch!
