This rescue helped me step by step over the phone through a full day of baby raccoon rescue. After finding a baby raccoon in my yard I learned everything necessary to reunite it with its mom. What a blessing being able to care for the baby and reunite this family in a way that was best for the animals. Thank you thank you for being so loving and compassionate and knowledgeable and for sharing your knowledge. I learned so much about raccoons today!

My husband found a juvenile opossum at our front yard, she got a front paw severy injured, she was very weak and had green flies around.
I put her on a box so the flies couldn't attack her, and started calling several phone numbers. Very kindly the guys at Pelican rehab gave me Silvia's number at Melina's Wildlife Rehab, I left a message and she called back me very quickly. She gave me some instructions on how to take care of her first instance, and few hours after we get together to do the delivery.

Unfortunately her paw was very injured, not enough to live in the wild by her own after healing. So they have to put her to sleep the day after.

There used to be a state law that we could keep her in our home, but now that's not possible, what a shame.

Thanks to Silvia for all the support, she is an amazing advocate to keep wild animals safe God bless her.

Near the end of May we found a tiny possum outside of our office. We hoped his mama would come and get it, but when it was still outside the next day, we found Melina's and called. She came right out and picked up our tiny little bundle. Ever since we've been following his progress on social media. And he's done so well. Sylvia cared for our little guy, since named Apollo, and he's thriving. Soon to be released back into the wild. So happy we found Melina's and Sylvia. Can't recommend them enough!

It was Sunday night and I found two baby opossums in my house in a large planter. I did not know what to do so, since I read it the reviews that Silvia is very kind I decided to call her and it proved right! She answered all my questions, was very helpful and informative. We decided to turn the planter so they could get out and see tomorrow if they left.
