I would like to thank all the staff that worked with my brother David. If I were ever in a position where I needed rehab, this is definitely the place I would pick. My brother was in a bad car accident which caused a spinal injury along with some respiratory issues. They were knowledgeable, professional, kind, patient, friendly, thoughtful, and sweet. From his own words, he said he could feel that they cared. And when you're in a position like his, staff like that makes it a whole lot easier. I can't say enough to show my appreciation. But thank you 💕

I would have started with 5 stars. However, not super impressed with night shift techs. Day time PT,OT, Nurses, Nurse Techs. Phenomenal. Couldn’t ask for a better team to work with. Night shift, staff, rude, mean, smash my brothers face in the bed rail every time they roll him. They’ve been told several times what to do to avoid that. One tech refused to turn the security camera off when they went to change his wound and Cath him. Argued with my brother and said the camera turns off by itself. Which it does not you need to call downstairs and say privacy for it to turn off. Night crew told the Dr my brother was rude and mean to them so he got in trouble. Where he said he was just standing his ground. And because of that, I personally think the Dr stopped treating him as extensively as he was. He started doing minimal. And then booted us out as soon as he could. Even though he could have stayed another 45 days they refused. I think if MFB is all about patient care, then they should make sure the patients are being taken care of properly as well as no abuse against their staff. If I was to ever go there, I would make sure this physician was not my Dr. thank you Day time techs and therapist. You girls rock!

After suffering a fall from a tree stand and fracturing a spinal bone and my pelvis in five places, I was fortunate to be admitted to Mary free bed. I’ll begin by saying that this hospital truly lives up to its reputation. The care I received around the clock was incredible. They cover every possible detail.
The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I would list their names but fear I will forget someone. MFB, thank you.

Beautiful, clean facility with great therapists for the most part. Nursing staff was great. The doctors need to get on the same page with treatment and care. A lot of conflicting opinions and ideas that leave the patient wondering which one is the one you listen to and trust. Attempting to discharge prematurely because a patient is Medicare is wrong. We appealed and our insurance agreed that my husband needed more care. The dr didn’t react well to the decision. He said that he “needs to keep the lights on” ….obviously referring to money and profits. Totally inappropriate. If they are unhappy with Medicare or find it to be something they don’t want to participate with, just don’t accept Medicare. Discharging someone before it is safe to do so is absolutely wrong. It is also wrong to be more concerned with profits than patient’s safety and care.
We were really expecting better.

Great place, great case worker, great nuse techs. Very impressed with the level of care here. Also great security team ! The security at the front desk wok very hard to keep this place safe and secure. With that being said, overall the building is very secure and you will need the front desk to buzz you in when you get in an elevator you can't just walk into the elevator and push a button. All the team members on the 4th floor worked very hard and my props to them. Everyone on the 4th floor needs special recognition for the hard work they do day in and day out. Dr. Wang is an incredible person. He is very knowledgeable no nonsence person and has a great sence of humor. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication I am for ever grateful to this place. Keep up the good work we are all counting on you.

My younger sister had a brain surgery and needed to go to Mary Free Bed for therapy and she has short term memory loss. I have been there two different times and things were not right. The first time I went to visit her she kept complaining that she was sore. I thought it was from the therapy. She had to go to the bathroom so I helped her into the bathroom and her toilet had poop all over the seat. So I cleaned it up. Then she went to the bathroom and I washed her up and she was not clean in the back. It took 4 wash clothes to get her clean. She had the same clothes on as the day before. The second time I went there it was 6pm I walked into her room and she was a sleep on her tray in her wheelchair. I woke her up and her meal try was up top by the nurses computer I thought she all ready ate. So I sat in there and visited with her and a nurse came in and gave her, her dinner tray which was cold because it was sitting there for a couple hours.
Then a nurse sat in her room and played on her phone while my sister ate her dinner. After she ate her dinner another nurse came in to give her Tylenol and asked if anything hurt and she said her bladder. So the nurse asked if she needs to use the bathroom, I offered to help and glad I did. For the second time her toilet had dried poop on the seat, and her depends had poop in them as well. The nurse said ok let’s change those, I said I would like to make sure she is washed up and if I didn’t say anything the nurse would have just left her sitting in her own poop. I was furious and the nurse knew I was mad. Then I looked and she had peeped in her bed. I called and spoke to my mom and let her know what was going on and she said she peeped the bed this morning. So I went crossed to the nurse station and said excuse me my sister peered the bed where are the sheets I offered to change them. Well let me tell you if looks could kill I would have been dead. Then the nurse I spoke to didn’t even answer me it was someone other nurse who said nasty like “what” and I said again my sister peed the bed where are the sheets. She said oh we can change them. At this point I was so mad that I started to cry! I looked around the room and finally found the extra sheets and changed her bedding. Then an hour later some male nurse or tech comes by and says I heard that your sister peed the bed. I told him that I all ready changed the bed. My sister had a brain surgery she has short term memory loss, some things she says she can’t do and can’t. She will say she can’t do things but she can’t. Or if she dose not very well, like wiping when going to the bathroom. I asked her if she would like to sit in her chair and she said no I asked her why and she told me if I sit in my chair they will make me stay their all night. Then it was a little after 8pm and another male nurse came in and said she was on the schedule for a shower if she wanted one. It’s 8pm she should have had her dinner and showered hours ago! This facility is very expensive and she is going to be paying for this and place for a while even though she has insurance. This is unacceptable, you trust these “professionals” to take care of your loved ones because her family works and can’t be their for her 24 hours and these “professionals” don’t give a crap and are only their for a pay check! If your staff can’t handle the patient load you need more staff and if you don’t want to hire the staff you shouldn’t take on that many patients. These people need individual care specific to why they are their and they are not getting it. I don’t want to leave my sister tonight but I live over an hour away and have to work in the morning. It was really hard to leave! I cried all the way home these patients are people and some don’t have a voice to use. This is abuse! I hope when these people that didn’t take care of my sister have to go in somewhere for care I hope they get the same care my sister was given. Have to sit in shit and piss all day! I hope your family members have to wonder if your being taken care of. This place is a joke!
