My wife and I made the very, very difficult decision to put our family member, protector, loyal and companion down. The silence of his bark is "DEAFENING". I can't say enough about the staff. They were compassionate, concern and caring. From the time we arrived and until we left, they were by our side. The doctor that spoke with us was as professional as a professional can be. He was very thorough, caring and compassionate and explained our options. He explained that the final decision was ours. I wanted to spend the last minutes of my pet's life with him but the pain was too great! My wife decided that it would be too great of a pain to watch him through the process. He tried to come back to me when the nurse took him to the back. Thank you is too weak of a word or phrase to say how much the hospital and staff treated us and our beloved pet. Stitch was a great family member and he was 10 ½ years old. If you need a quality, professional pet hospital please take your pet to them. Thank you again!

My dog broke her leg around 9:45 pm Saturday night. Went to VCA Lakewood and they would not see her due to an hour wait and only one doctor. Went to Long Beach Animal Emergency. They took her back as soon as we got there. Another critical animal came in right after us that required surgery. We were told it could be up to a 6 hour wait as they too only had one Dr in that night. That we could wait or call around to see if someone else could get her in sooner. We chose to wait and it was about 2 hours before we talked to anyone. Agreed to X-ray and they gave us option to go home and wait for their call as the radiologist report takes about 2 hours. Dr called an hour later and told us what she saw but still waiting on report. That they could put a splint on but we would need to find a specialist on Monday to confirm if surgery is needed or not. Hour later they called back that our dog was ready for pick up.

Point is, they followed through on everything they said they would do and in the timeframe given. The staff was very caring and kind even though I was a little frantic at first. They put me at ease and I’m so glad we waited. She was in good hands. I also received a follow up call Monday morning to see how my dog was. They sent me all my records same night as the visit so I could share with a specialist. Overall I would go back in a heartbeat if we have another emergency.

My dog was kept in a kennel for about 8 hours who is a 10year old Dane. If we would have known she’d be in a kennel for that long we would have left. We brought her in around 6pm and didn’t see her until after 2am!!! We took our dog for a cut that was pretty deep on her behind. She was taken in fairly soon after we arrived BUT made us wait 8 hours and the ladies in the front desk did not even attempt to give us updates. They just sit in their chair and gossip, believe me I could hear their conversations. There weren’t a lot of people in the lobby. Their updates were “her vitals are stable” well yes I knew that. She wasn’t brought in for a health concern, it was hopefully so she could get stitches or glue so the bleeding would stop from her cut.
I will NEVER bring my animals here but I was visiting family and this was the night we were suppose to celebrate Thanksgiving but couldn’t due to this emergency that we had NO IDEA would take this long. There is no bedside manners by the front desk ladies, their communication is below par, and the price was the highest around. Then when we finally had enough and requested our dog back, they said our dog was actually ready and they’d be out soon with her meds. This place needs to reevaluate their procedures and processes.

We had a great visit. Everyone was very transparent and honest about what was happening and the costs associated.
My dog was sick for four days and another Animal Hospital had already given us very poor service. But just hours after our visit my dog had already shown great signs of improvement!! And they called to follow up!

Came in on a Friday night. My cat was seen with 5 minutes. The vet, Dr. Zamora, was amazing and explained everything. She took the conservative approach rather than racking up an unnecessary bill. The staff was very nice. The facility is clean and pleasant. If I could get human healthcare here, I would come here as a patient. ?

The staff and vets here are amazing!! I brought my cat Henri in after a fall from a balcony and was beyond scared. I was treated by professional, caring and empathetic employees from the moment we walked in. Shout out to Dr Looney and Kiana at the front desk for their kind, communicative and compassionate treatment of me and Henri. They were accommodating when dealing with my budget while keeping Henri’s health and wellbeing in mind. Henri is on the mend as is my own emotional health dealing with this accident. I highly recommend this practice for your pet emergencies!

My cat was in so much pain and I couldn’t wait a day to take him to his checkup, so I went to the emergency and I’m so glad I did. They took care of him right away. He had a feline urethral obstruction. Everyone there was so empathetic and supportive. The doctor was so kind and helpful. She informed me on what’s happening and what they will be doing, she did not leave anything out. They did what they can to work around my budget. It was honestly such a relief that he’s okay now. They are absolutely amazing and will reassure you. My baby boy is better because of them.

They preyed on and profited from our puppy’s health emergency. Our little Lola nearly died. We understand that the treatments & services they provide require compensation; however, they routinely add many nonessential items to the bill during times of incredible anguish.
