Jennifer is the only person I trust with my 3.5lb yorkie! She’s absolutely incredible & treats every fur baby like they’re her own. Meia is a rescue and doesn’t like many people, but she loves Miss Jennifer and gets sooooo excited when we pull in the parking lot & that speaks for itself!

In my initial interaction with Lola and Penelope, I was particularly interested in their dog food recommendations, as I have special breed dogs. However, I was unfortunately interrupted by Mrs. Curl, who did not provide me with the opportunity to inquire about the availability of the specific food I was seeking. Instead, she abruptly ended the conversation. In my review, I must express my dissatisfaction with the poor reputation of the business owner’s conduct.

Driving home after a grooming appointment that cost nearly $300, I noticed one of my dogs was bleeding from his paw. Once we got home, I also noticed his chest was shaved at two different lengths.

I called the store and got “oh, gee. I’m sorry” for not telling you that I cut your dog. Oh and his hair grows in two different directions at that point on his chest. It’s all the same length.

Call the following day from one of the “grooming managers” was more of the same. She confirmed she had seen the picture (attached here) and spent 10 minutes telling me the hair is all the same length. No. Just no.

Check the picture for yourself. Would you be happy with this result? And not being told your dog had been injured while in the groomer’s care?

Never again. Never.

we love this place. There are lots of great retail items both upstairs and downstairs. They also did an excellent job grooming our dog. Good thing to know is that the directions will take you to the back where there is a parking lot. The grooming and some of the retail is at that level. that way you can avoid parking in the street. But you can also go in at the street level and there is some real cute retail upstairs as well. Highly recommended the prices were great and was very happy.

Lola and Penelope’s is by far my favorite pet boutique and salon in St. Louis. The store is spacious and comfortable and filled with cute and useful things for pet owners and the staff is amazing! Erin has helped me on multiple occasions helping me find the best groomer for my dog, treats and toys they will love, and finding food solutions! Eli and I visit L&P at least once a month for grooming and Eli is always excited to see Erin, Jennifer, and all his friends at Lola’s!
