We had to bring our dog in on the weekend as an emergency visit. She was very sick, and the outcome was we had to put her down. The staff was so extremely compassionate and supportive. They explained everything that was going on, answered questions, gave us time. It was my kid's first experience with death, which made it even harder. I cannot say enough of how wonderful everyone was. They gave us a clay mold of her footprint, and we waited in the car for the nurse to bring it. When she did I could tell that she had been crying. It was like being around family in one of the most difficult experiences of our life. That kind of compassion is not something that can be taught. They truly love what they do and it shows.

Our pup got off of her lead and was hit by a car in mid-January. Our regular vet wasn’t on call, so I drove her Lakeside. After reviewing the X-rays the Dr. told me that it would be ‘in the thousands’ to repair her pelvis that was broken in 4 places. When I asked ‘what if I take her home?’ The vet said she be in a lot of pain and mention it being inhumane and recommended she be euthanized. I wanted to give my family the opportunity to say their goodbyes, so I packed up our pup and took her home….only after I signed an AMA per their request.
I took her to my vet first thing the next morning, assuming he would euthanize. After checking her out he said ‘yep, she’ll be running by spring!’ And she was.
All of this to say, I will never be back, nor will I recommend to anyone. Something the vet said has stuck with me ‘in a room full of vets, I will be the one that will choose to euthanize last every time’ So glad I chose a second vet in a different room.

‼️DO NOT CALL THEIR “EMERGENCY” NUMBER‼️
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. I called for my pet around 10pm about him having some bleeding in his paw we could not get to stop and the woman who answered was no help at all and very rude. She told me that they had no availability even though they are supposedly open until 12am on Saturday and said the nearest hospital was 2 hours away, at first she did not even tell me where it was. She was so unprofessional because I continually asked what this number was for since I could not get my dog seen or even some simple advice on how to help the situation. All I got was the same over and over response of we don’t take emergencies, even though it states that on the website, and that I needed to take my dog 2 hours away. She also was stating that she didn’t know why the website said all information about emergencies and seemed just very negligent about her job. I would definitely not recommend ever calling this place for help because obviously they just don’t care about your pets AT ALL!!!

I brought my cat zoey there for an emergency and they were AMAZING. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for them saving her and getting her taken care of. The staff was kind and amazing, they kept me updated on zoey's status along with the financial side of things.Then that next morning they called me to check in which was awesome.. I'd recommend this hospital 100000%. Thank you guys so much ❤️.

We've taken all of our cats, as well as a few strays, here or to their sister clinic in Herrin for care and emergencies for the 4 years we've lived here. We've always been treated with respect, and felt taken care of. They take care credit, which is the only way we could have afforded most of our pets' care. They have even handed us coupons towards our prescriptions and worked within our schedules with the drop off options. It's available 24 hours, and some one is always there. Honestly, yes, the are cheaper places to go, but I'll stick with this team , as I have seen them do everything in their power to help my furbabes out.

I'm satisfied with my experience with this Vet Hospital. What happened was my poor Patches got hurt. She is a six year old cat. She had a pretty large laceration on her side. We got there at 4 p.m. and we didn't leave until about 6:50 p.m. They did their best with her and she made it through and she's at home resting now. The cost was very expensive but it is off time and a Sunday. I'm hoping she makes a full recovery. They are very interested on making sure that the animal is not in pain. They are very sweet people and very understanding. As far as the care that we receive I would definitely recommend them. However the cost would definitely be a setback. It ended up costing me in the end an entire paycheck. If I need help I know where to go but I also know it will come with a cost. But when it comes to our fur babies the cost doesn't really matter does it.
Update: they called to check up on her a couple days later. And she seems to be doing great.
