Oh how lucky I feel to live in kane county with KARE at the helm of our wildlife. This place is unbelievable and Vicki is an outstanding. I have brought several differs species of orphaned or injured animals to KARE and have had nothing but complete satisfaction with the experience. Most recently I brought a goose with a broken leg who'd been struggling in the area for a month. I brought reached out to KARE and they got him right in, that day and started intervention for his medical needs before I had left the parking lot. Understand that they did this while continuing to care for the other (I'm unsure how many, but in eyesight, easily dozens upon dozens) of animals already in the program. Vicki is a seasoned vet in the field. It's unfathomable how many animals their program is able to care for and how they manage all the moving parts that go on with each case of an animal in need. If you come upon an animal in need of help I URGE you to make contacting KARE your first step- believe me, you will save yourself enormous frustration and time by doing so, and it will save a life. In the spirit of "if you see something, say something", recognize that YOU can DO something- not someone else later; YOU! and KARE will guide you seamlessly and confidently through the process. Thank you doesn't begin to cover what we as a community owe this program. I can only hope that the public and local government rally around KARE whenever possible to support them through funding and legislative support.

I had an orphaned rabbit that was still too young to be on its own. Wasn’t hopping fast enough yet. They took the bunny the very next day after I called. This was such a relief to give the rabbit a chance to grow and survive on its own. Thank you for caring.

Honestly, one of the worst experiences my wife and I had. The house is a dump, the dogs locked upstairs looked so sad and in distress, we just couldn’t leave our 8 baby ducks here, truthfully I couldn’t leave a rat here, so sad!!
