I recently moved and needed to find a new vet for my two fur babies. After reading many reviews and doing extensive research, especially because one of my dogs has IMHA and requires special care, I chose Islandside Animal Hospital. When I took my dogs in for their teeth cleaning, they were incredibly well taken care of, and everyone was so nice. The prices are definitely reasonable, too. I highly recommend Islandside Animal Hospital.

The best! Dr. Schaft saved my little guy’s life. Another “Emergency Vet” in Cape Coral told me that he needed to be euthanized because he could not dislodge his impacted colon. Dr. Schaft never once said it was impossible. She did whatever it took to relieve our 1.3 pound Scottish fold kitten from his discomfort. She sent him home with meds and prescription food to continue helping with his digestive issues. I have never felt so strongly about a Vet until coming here. Will definitely be our new home for all of our babies. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Highly recommend Dr.Apking and LeAnn (tech) for your fury companions needs. They always go above and beyond for all of my fur kids to make sure they stay healthy and happy. They are always ready to tackle the most rare and complex cases as it seems my dogs always seem to fall in that bracket. I also love the fact that Dr. Apking knows everything Dobie, so that’s another win for me. Every time I’m in the facility I’m greeted with kindness and compassion and the entire staff is ready and willing to help. My dogs love them all and that speaks volumes to me! Thank you for doing what you do and loving your patients (2 and 4 legged) like you do on a daily basis! It is very much appreciated!!

We see Dr Braun for our frenchie's acupuncture and he is awesome! He always goes above and beyond and answers any questions we may have. The whole staff here is always so welcoming and very knowledgeable. You can just tell how much they all care. Their prices are very affordable too! We're so happy we found them and couldn't recommend them enough 🙂 Thank you!

We took our 13yo dog in for a dental consultation, as I knew he needed a cleaning and extractions. They were able to do his bloodwork that same day to make sure he was healthy enough to go under anesthesia. We received a call the very next day stating that his bloodwork had come back and that we could go ahead with the procedure. I was able to schedule him just 3 weeks out.

When I went to pick him up, I could tell that he was very well cared for. The vet (or tech) that I spoke with at pick up was very kind and took the time to discuss the procedure, medication, and post op care. While under anesthesia, they also discovered our dog had a level 2 heart murmur. Not only did they prescribed us the necessary medication, they also gave it to us right then and there so we did not have to go through the hassle of ordering it online and waiting to receive it.

Surgery and anesthetic can be nerve wrecking, especially for senior animals. I am beyond pleased with the care we received at Islandside!

What a great animal hospital! We love both Dr. Braun & Dr Apking. Prices are very reasonable. I always feel like we got the best care after each visit. Definitely made us feel like family.
