This is my first time ever having a dog professionally groomed and I’ve got to say, I’m sold. I’ve noticed changes around my home. Where I typically have to deep clean/change bedding/sweep/vacuum/wash floors every 5 days bc of noticeable fur and smells, after over a week of having the dogs here, my place seems as though dogs don’t even live here. Floors noticeably still clean, will probably change bedding just out of weekly habit, but not bc of any dog smells, and just have to say this was the only place that was easy to work with and for us in promptly! I called at least 10 other places to find that they either didn’t answer phones, emails, texts or simply had closed books. So was nice to have a place so close that had the capacity to take more clients. We’ll be back and highly recommend!

The hidden gem of the dog grooming world! I looked all over the west loop for an affordable place that I trusted with my dog and Howlistic Grooming is just that! They know what my dogs triggers are and make sure to accommodate them. I don’t trust anyone with my dog, but they always take care of pickles and he always looks adorable! They keep record of what kind of trim you like so there’s never a surprise trim. I mean look how good he looks!!! A star!!

I rarely leave reviews and have been a loyal customer of Howlistic for some time. However, my most recent experience has prompted me to write. I had called ahead to book a bath and brush for my dog, quoted at $140. Upon inquiry, a full haircut was offered at an additional $20, totaling $160, which seemed reasonable given the summer heat. However, at pickup, I was surprised by a charge of $180. I mentioned the original quote of $160, but the groomer was unyielding. Reluctantly, I paid the extra amount, but I am disappointed that I was not informed of this price increase beforehand; had I been, I would have opted for the original service.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, FOR DOGS WITH FLOPPY EARS, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. Everytime I brought to my dog to this place they left water in his ears. Disregarding my instructions to put cotton balls in so they remain dry. EVERYTIME, there has been an ear infection.

Moreover, the haircut was rushed, leaving my dog's face closely trimmed (practically scathed) and dandruff still visible. This is not the first instance of rushed service; there seems to be a recurring theme of the staff suggesting shaving my dog entirely due to "little matting," which I suspect is to expedite the grooming process. They don’t want to spend the extra time to properly groom the dog. Additionally, there is often a push for prompt pickup on "slow days," which seems like every time I come, contributing to my perception of their eagerness to finish quickly, rush their work, and go home. I’ve never picked my dog up late.

This experience has significantly lowered my opinion of Howlistic, leading me to rate their service 0/10 and decide not to return.

I was very disappointed with my experience. My dog came back with fresh cuts on his paws and his ears not cleaned. When I went back the next day to pick up a toy he left there, they claimed they did clean his ears. I personally would not book another appointment with them.

BEWARE PET PARENTS. My fiancé brought our dog here to get groomed and our sweet Cookie came back home with fresh scabs on her nipples and a cut on her foot. Two of her nipples are completely shaved off. She has been licking her tummy and shaking for the past 6 hours 😢 I am beyond mad that they would do this to my sweet 15 year old pup. Also, they didn’t even tell us that they cut her seven times, so they either didn’t notice or thought that it wasn’t important enough to mention.

Also, when my fiancé was picking up Cookie, there was another dog left completely unattended tied up to the grooming table for at least 5 minutes. Abusive and negligent all around.

Everyone I’ve dealt with at this shop has been incredibly rude and aggressive. Taking your dog to a grooming appointment should be a stress-free experience. As a poodle owner, I’m no stranger to visiting groomers regularly, but this shop has made the process unnecessarily unpleasant. Thankfully, Itty Bitty’s is just around the corner and has fostered a community of skilled groomers who genuinely care. I won’t be spending another dime at this place.

I read the reviews and realized that my dog's frequent ear infections were caused by their operation. I usually only go to cut my dog's hair once every two weeks. But ear infections occur every time.

I had a terrible experience at this shop and would strongly advise against bringing your dog here. I requested a simple summer cut, but when I picked up my dog, she had not received the cut I asked for. Instead of offering an apology or a solution, I was told not to return. The management is unprofessional, and the prices are far too high for the level of disrespect I encountered.
