Took my leopard gecko Cheeto here for a vet visit. We drove over 2.5 hours because they were the closest exotic vet that would see him. He had plugs on his underside that were successfully removed and was given pain medicine to help him recover. The staff here were all so kind, especially the exotic vet and the receptionist who booked his appointment (yesterday) and saw us when we came in(today). The vet gave us husbandry and general care advice without being rude or accusatory and it was so refreshing to hear. She had us in and out in less than two hours and I am so confident he will make a full recovery. He seems a lot more comfortable now and I can't thank everyone here enough for saving his life.

I’m writing to share my disappointing experience at this veterinary clinic. After taking our pets there for over three years, we've noticed a concerning increase in our dog’s anxiety during visits. Recently, we were advised to medicate her to calm her down, which we did. However, when we checked in, we repeatedly requested that she be examined in our presence. Instead, they dragged her to the back, causing her to hit the door frame.

Shortly after, we were informed that she had bitten a staff member, despite her being calm and lying at our feet before while waiting for her to be examined and after while the vet was discussing the next steps (you can see her laying down in the picture below without even having to hold the leash). Now, we face the unfortunate need to quarantine her and seek another examination due to their refusal to treat her in front of us. This experience raises serious concerns about what happens behind closed doors. Our friendly dog has become increasingly anxious when we step foot into this clinic, and I can't help but feel this clinic has contributed to her distress. We will not be returning.

We had a cat that vomited for 3 days despite our efforts at home. Called Heattland as our vet was closed. They were able to get us right in and took excellent care of my girl and us. The vet (i cant remember her name) sat down with us after the evaluation to go over her thoughts for differential diagnosis and options to move forward. All logical and practical. We were in and out in a reasonable time. Everyone there was so nice and caring!

I have taken all of my pets to Heartland and have always had at least adequate care. That was until last week, and subsequently today. Dr. Ohmn is by far the most knowledgeable, diligent, but above all compassionate. This doctor explain to my partner and I the aggressive cancer our shih Tzu had without scaring the hell out of us. It would only be a week as he predicted or at least said we could have up to a couple of months that was a very generous statement looking back. We were back a week later to do the ethical and moral thing that we can afford our pets and Dr Ohman was the most compassionate kindest, not only doctor, but man I have ever encountered in a professional setting. Thank you truly the entire staff everyone works so diligently to serve thenpets and their loving parents that bring them with absolute love and compassion while doing their jobs

A great vet for small animal care. I took my guinea pigs (Lazlo and Arnold) in and the Dr was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. Everyone is so very kind and polite. They’re very caring and clean! If I lived closer, I would bring my dogs here.

I absolutely love this vet. They are so caring. I’ve brought 2 of my pets here now, my dog and my new kitten. They listen to all of your concerns and I couldn’t appreciate them more. They got both of my pets in extremely quick and took such good care of them❤️

Unfortunately, we needed Heartland to assist our beautiful old girl Maggie in crossing the rainbow bridge. From the moment I called to make the appointment, the same day, the staff was so kind. They offered us as much time with our girl as we needed, and wanted, during each step of the process. Of course we had questions, and the doctor and techs explained every step and answered all our questions so we understood what to expect.

Everyone was so gentle and loving with our Maggie. Each staff member we spoke to was extremely understanding, kind, and respectful. I can't speak highly enough about Heartland and how helpful they were during this time in our lives. Should we decide to get another pet in the future, we'll definitely bring them here. Maggie and our family thank you for making this transition be as loving as it could be.

We were referred to Heartland Veterinary Hospital for a TPLO surgery, to be performed by Dr. Jennifer Wardlaw with Gateway Veterinary Surgeons. Both Dr. Wardlaw and the team at Heartland took the time to thoroughly explain the surgery, address our concerns, and keep us informed at every step. It was clear that Daisy’s comfort and well-being were their top priorities.

We were especially impressed with the personalized attention Daisy received. The staff at Heartland handled her with incredible care and compassion, helping her feel safe and relaxed in an unfamiliar environment. Their follow-up care was equally outstanding, ensuring that Daisy’s recovery was progressing just as it should.

Thanks to the combined efforts of Gateway Veterinary Surgeons and Heartland Veterinary Hospital, Daisy is well on her way to regaining full mobility and enjoying her active, happy life again. We are deeply grateful for their expertise and dedication, and we would highly recommend their services to anyone.
