Very professional and informative. I would recommend a consultation to see if this treatment plan could be of help to your pet. I will be making a followup appointment on the treatment plan for Maggie Mae.

I love Dr Thompson.
I trust my babies with them as Dr Thompson is the biggest animal lover I have met. They only uphold the highest standard of care. A bit cheaper than the other clinics in the area is a plus too.

If you are worried that your dog is going to get autism or something from a vaccination, please get off of fox news and start making adult decisions. If you don't believe in medical professionals, this isn't the hospital for you.

Meant to leave a review quite a while ago and I forgot until a friend of mine just had a bad experience at helping hands…so here we go. My biggest complaint at this office is that the vet assistant, as well as vet, were VERY VERY vaccine pushy. VERY VERY any type of flea and tick and heart worm medication pushy. Not everyone is on the same page with this topic and I respect that, but we are a family who does not over vaccinate nor over medicate. They would not even see my dogs until they had their vaccine’s. In my opinion, a health issue takes precedence over whether or not your dog is “up to date”. Not only did I like how pushy and rude they were, they are outrageously priced! I found an AMAZING vet closer to me in Boerne who actually cares more about my dogs well-being over their vaccination status and their visits are much less than Helping Hands! Hope this helps someone new who may be looking for a friendlier vet who cares more about the pet over vaccine status!!!

Came to this veterinary practice after it was recommended amongst friends who do dog sports. My malinois has been facing a chronic issue that my primary vet thinks is autoimmune, and recommended going to a full-service specialty clinic such as healing hands for a comprehensive work up.

When I called to schedule my visit, the person kept insisting that it was an emergency (which is was not) so they were unsure if they would be able to see me. She then asked who my primary vet was and said “well I’ve been in vet medicine for over 10 years and I’ve never heard of them”. After going back and forth, sending 50+ pages of records to prepare them for the appointment, and finally getting on their schedule after much back and forth about whether it was an emergency or not, we went to the clinic.

Our appointment was at 8:20 am and we weren’t seen until 9 am. I understand running behind but there was no communication. We met the vet tech, and explained the situation. We then met the vet, and explained the situation again. What was the point of sending over all of the records if they had no idea of the complexity of why I was there?

At the very end of it all, the resolution was to remove a lump he has, which I understand, but my primary goal was to get labs to begin to investigate what the underlying cause of the issues have been. When I brought this up, the vet tech informed me that “this is just the relief vet, so to do anything further you’d need to schedule a visit with the primary vet who can help you”.

Prior to coming to the office, I paid $145 for a “second opinion consultation”, explained the complexity of the situation, went back and forth trying to get my dog seen, and then they didn’t even schedule me with the vet who I specifically came for. Since it was my first time with the clinic, I didn’t realize that who I was seeing was just a fill-in. Why would you schedule me with the relief vet and then tell me that to actually help my dog, I’d have to schedule another $145 second opinion consult with the vet who I came to see? We have pet insurance, so I’m not worried about cost, but it seems like this practice is more about money than integrity or quality care.

I was sent home with the same medications I’ve tried before in the past, and when I looked at his records to submit them to our pet insurance, the notes on them are not correct. I cannot in good faith recommend this vet to someone who is looking for help resolving a mystery illness in their dog.

Editing my review after their response: This vet is incredibly unreliable and posted a reply that is completely inaccurate. I have nothing to gain by coming after their office, but after seeing what they said back, I can honestly say I would never trust them with my dog. Their response is filled with misinformation.

The staff is incredible and very knowledgeable here! They truly care for your pets and listen to any concerns you have. My dog hadn’t been able to walk for a bit but after some hydrotherapy & acupuncture sessions he’s pretty much back to normal! It’s a little far from me but I will be bringing my dog for any visits from here on out. Thank you 🙂 🫶🏽

Awesome staff. Dr is very knowledgeable and took time to explain findings. We really appreciate having alternative therapy as opposed to just surgery. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a thorough and honest evaluation of there furbaby's health.

For straightforward pet care, Healing Hands is on another level. Dr. Thompson and her dedicated team bring real attention to detail, and a genuine caring approach to healing.

What makes them stand out is their deep dive into Eastern medicine. It's a game-changer. Having a senior dog myself, I've witnessed firsthand how they make his life comfortable and happy with quality herbs, medications, mobility exercises, laser therapies, and acupuncture sessions. Healing Hands is the go-to for top-notch pet care.

I love Healing Hands! Their exceptional customer service and outgoing/friendly staff are what we love most. We had gone through four different veterinarians with almost no hope of helping our dachshund. Dr. Thompson was very helpful and honest. She sparked hope in us again! We are very trusting that our dog is getting the best of help here at healing hands! You can see and feel the love the staff has for their job and the animals. I absolutely, one hundred percent recommend this place! ❤️🐾
