My brother is currently in Rehab at Haym Salomon. We are both very pleased with the excellent service of the nursing staff and the group of exceptional therapists. They are the best. The place is immaculate and the food is great. We both have nothing negative to say. Top notch rehab center in Brooklyn. Five stars

Mom died there- made her sit in common room go to PT in her dying days. Hate them for that.

I appreciate your response , however we did speak when you reached out to me regarding my post during the last week of January 2025. It was a very long call with you listening to the many errors with my mom’s care. No one especially an Dr ever spoke to my family nor ever articulated that my mom was in the dying stages and instead of giving her pain medication the day before she died, the Dr wanted to give her IV fluids to make her stronger. Crazy. And since she couldn’t swallow the pain medication for the last two days after tilting her head back massaging her throat they gave her nothing. I had to ask for pain meds in another form. Me. I was told to be that the head doctor would be calling me largely due to the poor performance by the doctors or no care by the doctors. Since mom was admitted in late November- a Dr never called or reached out to us. I requested a call - received one on January 13. Was told all her blood work was stable and gave medication which corrected her thyroid level. Yet mom died 5 days later. Dr was asked to submit hospice papers same day Monday January 13 but did not happen until Thursday 3 days later. Too late I’m still waiting for the head drs call and it’s March 18.

In November of 2024, our 86-year-old father was transferred from Maimonides Hospital to the Haym Salomon Home for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Brooklyn. He had fallen down a full flight of stairs and literally broke his neck and injured his head. As a result, he needed extensive rehabilitation. Fortunately for him we selected Haym Salomon for his care. Based on our observations during our daily visits and from what our father has told us, the facility is kept exceptionally clean and the personnel are most professional, pleasant and accommodating.

He refers to his CNA Angela as his "Morning Angel" because she gets him ready in the morning and CNA Michelle as his "Evening Mom" since she puts him to bed at night. They both keep him clean, and he can't brag enough about each of them and their professional attention to his well-being. They are both very caring and responsible in their daily care of him. Also, he especially mentions Nurse Michael of the evening shift who has been of special assistance when our father was in certain stress on a number of occasions. Michael makes sure that all of his medications are administered on time. During the late night hours, Mary has assisted him in such a caring and professional way when he has needed help.

He also praises those individuals who provide him with his physical therapy during the day, especially Daniel. Arkadia provides terrific occupational therapy to work on life skills needed to return home. He also speaks about transporter, “Lovely Julai” and affable R.N. Natasha for their kind nature. On the weekends he praises Elira and Edwin for their help in showing him the right exercises to help him get stronger and be safe.

Each individual has been very attentive and supportive to ensure his growth in strengthening his muscles. And finally, the kind and pleasant Rina has made sure he is comfortable in his living environment and always has sufficient entertainment available. There are also plenty of activities to keep patients busy if they want to participate. My father has enjoyed the painting classes the most.

Indeed some of these persons have been so dear and attentive that our father feels they are part of his extended family while in this rehab environment. He has mentioned that he is grateful to have these kind professionals attending to all of his needs. The entire staff has been helpful and addressed any need or request when asked to accommodate his stay.

If you have to select such a facility as Haym Salomon, it's our father's experience, and our own observations that this is the facility for you/your loved one. We highly recommend Haym Salomon.

My husband was in this place for 3 weeks.
I am surprised why people are giving so good opinions. At all it looks ok but particularly there are an issues there. My husband was send for rehab , he is fall risk patient. And today 1 day before go home he fell down. It is place of rehabilitation? Thanks God he doesn’t have any fracture, but bruises. He was needed to use the bathroom and he pressed red button, nobody came. Then he got up from the bed and went to the bathroom and felt. I want also say that some nurses on the 6 floor is not nice talking. One nurse said yesterday to me to leave him alone because he has a lot of patients, and my husband is a guest or who? They keep people all day in the dining room and from sitting position for a long time he got swollen legs. Then they did X-ray for nothing. And when I asked today the nurse how it’s happened she told me: It was you who told us not keeping for a long time your husband. The nurse didn’t even know that swollen feets from too long sitting position. They have to walk with him every day and they are walking just for a few minutes.
Place looks like mashine for making money not
about caring people.

These reviews do paint not an accurate picture. My Father was admitted due to a fall he sustained because of old age. He was barely moving and is a high risk fall patient.

WhereDo i begin….

I will begin from a phone call that i got from a Nurse stating my 83 year old Father fell down as he was getting up from his bed. And why? because he needed assistance to go to the bathroom. He had pressed the red button to call for a Nurse, but like Many times no one came. Knowing he is a high fall risk patient, there should have been someone there for him. Its not excusable for him to soil himself, because the nurse can come up with to “some excuse” As the Head Nurse told me “We found him laying on the floor”

In Another instance my Mother suspected my Father was sick and had temperature. She asked the Russian male Nurse on the floor to measure my Fathers Temperature. His answer was “Im not doing that i have many other Patients” what kind of Arrogant attitude one must have towards care of their patients to answer like that. That is utterly disgusting and that Nurse should not be treating any patients. My mother asked for his name, his answer was “Why do you need my name, im not telling you my name” After speaking on Russian language to him initially, my Mother said he pretended he did not speak Russian…

So one day before his discharge, the head Nurse told my Mother my father got pneumonia. The heat is so high in the patient rooms that Nurses told my mother they cannot regulate the thermostat because the heat is central heating. (Get a new Thermostat then, you are suffocating patients with intense heat) So they left the Window open for Fresh Air. No one came to close it during the night and my Father got extremely cold, which led to his sickness.

Stay Away from this place. There seems to be huge issues with management, accountability, and attitude of the Staff.

Its Ironic thats its a Rehabilitation Facility Where a Patient (My Father) is way worse after staying there now, then initially when he was admitted.

Haym Salomon is a beautiful place to have a family member there. Everyone worker there is so friendly and caring. Cleanest home I have ever been in. This is a place I would put a family member or even myself in

Due to declining health of my grandmother, I had to make a difficult choice by bringing her to Haym Solomon Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Since day 1, I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and rehab department. Everyone is extremely knowledgable, professional, and caring. Every nurse, every nurses aid have been nothing but nice and loving toward my grandmother. It has been exactly two months and I truly made the right decision by choosing this nursing home instead of another one. I give 5/5 stars.
