If I could give the entire staff and GLVH a billion stars with a billion rainbows and billion butterflies, I would! I am not from Connecticut. However, I brought my mother's beautiful kitty Alley in with some urinary tract issues. The entire team knew I was only in town for the evening, and mom was recovering from back surgery. Everyone, including several veterinarians, technicians, and front of the "house" team, worked on helping Alley until beyond closing time to ensure the best treatment plan for my mom's beloved girl. I have never quite seen a team work so cohesively in an animal hospital before! And I love my vet! but wow, they really have a remarkable TEAM! Mom, myself, and of course Alley, thanks you from the bottom of our hearts! ?

Dr. Newman has been great with our senior cat, Jynx. Dr. Newman has been kind and sympathetic to our circumstance. We’ve been to many vets in the past and have been nickeled and dimed but Groton Ledyard Vet and Dr. Newman have been very realistic with our situation balancing cost, quality of life, and supporting our emotions.

They are my emergency care vet (we have access to the military vet for routine care) and they have NEVER failed my fur babies. The doctors and staff there are honest about pricing. They walk you through every option available and understand the cost aspect of veterinary care. 1000% recommend them.

I had just found a stray cat and was looking for a vet to take it to for a check up. They were able to squeeze me in same day. Everyone was extremely kind and professional! They even called the next day to make sure everything was still going smoothly with the new cat. I would definitely recommend them!

Yesterday, my ex husband and daughters, were there because their belove beagle Ben was not doing well. Ben has had some health issues and a senior dog. I am not sure which Dr was providing care, but I wanted to thank you for explaining everything to my daughters. They rescued Ben and his brother Rusty (who also passed with your assistance). I spoke to them before they went to the appointment and explained that they may need to make a difficult decision, but a very human one. Ben, was my youngest dog, came home to explained everything. She appreciated that you offered options but also expressed what you would do if he was your pet. She stayed with him as he crossed the rainbow bridge, never an easy task no matter how many times. Again, thank you very much.

Groton Ledyard Veterinary Hospital took such great care of our pup, Boba. When Boba came down with pink eye, her previous vet (at a different vet hospital) was booked for the whole month and could not squeeze her in to be seen. We are super grateful to the amazing team at Groton Ledyard Vet Hospital for taking her as a new client for her urgent eye issue. We will be definitely switching Boba's care to this vet hospital! Shoutout to Dr. Newman and the vet tech who saw Boba that day. They treated her with much love and her eye completely improved. Highly recommend this vet!
