HORRIBLE Staff & Service!!

They don't know how to smile or even say hello.

My dog only needed a pedi/mani and they cut into two of his quick. Cutting into a quick is not uncommon but to cut into two is carelessness.

What really irked me enough to leave a review is their attitude. After I pointed it out to to the lady, she acted as though I was bothering her with a trivial matter. She didn't bother to look at him till I ask her to apply styptic powder. Someone from the back asked in Spanish, "what's the problem?" and she responded, "no big deal". Maybe because she didn't know I understand Spanish or maybe she just didn't care. Don't run a business of caring for people's furry friends if it's not a big deal to you.

Dog owners beware - this place is not good, and they charge top dollar for it. I really wanted to like them, as their location is very convenient for us, but they are not good groomers. We tried them 3-4 times and every time something was very wrong. They also do not seem to care, they don’t want feedback at all. I tried very gently to tell them what was wrong in the past, and they were not at all interested - hence this review. The jobs were so bad and so expensive ($185 for my large dog) that I should never have gone back, I just really wanted it to work. People need to know, do not waste your money there!! Our beautiful dog actually looks ugly and sad after being groomed there. Twice he came home with huge holes in his fur - HUGE! Like baseball size. Yesterday he come home with weird shaved feet, no explanation for them, not something I asked for, and whatever they are trying to achieve with these feet, it’s poorly executed. Aesthetics and money aside, I’m now freaking out that maybe they aren’t that nice to the dogs, they charged us an extra handling fee, they said they had to hold him down. He’s never had issues with other dogs, but recently he started growling at some while on leash, now I wonder if that could be attributed to his grooming experience…? Seriously, do not waste your time, or money here, I wish I hadn’t! And to the business: DO BETTER!!! You charge artisan prices, and do a chop-shop job.

I love the team at Groom Dog Spa. Mister President loves them too. He will try to walk up to the door even when they are closed. He is always wagging his tail. Mister President is a Mini Poodle and they always do a fantastic job. He always looks so amazing and fresh. My pup is always happy and prances out.

I've been taking my poodles to Groom Dog Spaw for several years now and have always been very pleased with the experience. They're easy to schedule with, take good care of the pet while you leave them for their "spa day", and always do a good job with the grooming!

Worst grooming experience of my life, ending with my dog in the ER. If you love your dog don’t go here.

Edit: the owner has responded with an irrelevant comment about another dog. My dog is not named Sierra, is a male, and non of the interaction they are discussing ever happened with me. My boy ended up in the ER since they gave him treats with chicken, which I warned them he’s allergic to. It is obvious they cannot even keep their clients straight.

I have been to this groomer twice before and they were very professional and did well. However, I went back today after scheduling an appointment a week in advance and they and no record of my appointment or the previous ones I had with them. This already made me very weary due to how unprofessional and unorganized they were, but even further they wanted to keep my 10 pound dog for 6-7+ hours for just a bath and haircut. I thought this was an absolutely ridiculous amount of time to ask for me to leave my dog. Not to mention, they never showed me around the facility or told me where my dog would have to stay for these 6-7+ hours they would need to hold him. There was also no good reason he should have been there for that long; it was going to take them that long because they completely overbooked themselves and were super behind on gromings. I left immediately and will not be returning. I really was not happy with this experience and they should really take their appointments more seriously. It is honestly not fair treatment to these dogs and I really would consider going elsewhere before trying this business. It felt like they didn't care about the well being of the dogs.

Need a smile n friendly service to your customers especially their first time visit. Just 4 seconds for 5 nails trimmed for my dog. She said the nails are not long enough to cut it. She should have been honest to let us know before trimming or ask to bring my dog back in a few month instead trimmed just 5 nails and charged for a full price $$

They do an excellent job on my 13 year old shih-tzu mix. It's on the pricier ($95 I think for a full service groom?) but as far I can tell it's comparable with other groomers in SF so that's to be expected. All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
