While in Colorado visiting family, our little Chorgi, Harley was in pain and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. While trying to get him into a vet locally he also developed diarrhea. I called Granby Veterinary Clinic to see if they could get Harley in. They were able to do so even though all their emergency appointments were filled. I was told it was a work in appointment and I would probably have to wait. I arrived and pulled up to the door and a tech came and got Harley from me and gave me paperwork to fill out. I got a call asking some questions about Harley. About 15 minutes later the vet called me and told me that Harley had hurt his back. Dr. Sue was wonderful! She explained that we would need to not let Harley jump up or down and would need to carry him out to go potty for about 2 weeks to allow his back to heal. She gave me pills for the diarrhea that I would give him if he had it again. I gave him a bland diet of rice, chicken breast and broth for 3 days and he started feeling better. I had a question for Sue and she was again just terrific when I called back. She gave me great advice and it worked! My Harley is feeling so much better and both problems are resolved! It's hard when you travel to find a good vet and I feel so grateful and blessed to have found Granby Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Sue! Their prices are reasonable, too. Win-Win

I've taken 9 months to leave this review because I needed time to heal from the damage this vet did to our family.

She is a horrible "veterinarian" who does not hide her hatred for animals. Even those she deems important enough to treat.
This is the worst veterinarians office I have ever been to, and unless you want her to kill your pet, I would avoid this office like it's the pits of hell.

The "vet" was too busy hiding in her office to help my OBVIOUSLY in distress cat, Castiel, when we came in the afternoon of Sept 18th, 2023. We had given our cat ZoGuard (sold at Murdochs in Fraser), and within 24 hours, she was dehydrated and refusing to eat or drink.

You might have seen our big white rig at the top of the hill in Stillwater Campground in 2021, while we spent April - October installing bear lockers and replacing fire rings in the Arapaho Bay campgrounds, replacing the bench at the Cutthroat Group Campground, or cleaning up the trails and campsites at Stillwater Campground. Or you may have seen it parked within the closed Willow Creek Campground in from May to October 2023, where we replaced and repaired almost all (not the bathrooms) of the East Troublesome Fire damage last summer (2023) Or, maybe you saw me and sweet little ginger Castiel walking the beach of Willow Creek Reservoir almost every day of the summer. Maybe you saw her tucked into my life jacket while I was sitting on my paddleboard out in the water.

Fortunately, we had never needed a vet in those times until this life or death moment, so we were unfamiliar with the local veterinarians.
This one was open at the time of our emergency.
The others were not.

Upon bringing our cat, Castiel, in and explaining the situation, including that I had not been able to get her to drink anything despite my best efforts, the Tech at the counter went in the back to speak to the "vet", who we heard with our own ears say "I'm too busy to see it right now."
The only person there qualified to help our cat, Castiel, ignored her. This "woman" didn't even come out and put her eyes on Castiel.
She genuinely did NOT care about the health or life of Castiel.

Her claim of being too busy was because she had to meet with a family who was on their way in... to discuss palative care for their dying dog. A dog who was dancing and jumping and wagging his tail when they walked in the door.
We were sent away without anyone ever examining Castiel.

Less than 12 hours later, something woke me up, and I went to her chair to check on her. I knew immediately what was happening.
Castiel was taking her last breaths in my arms at 3:27 am, on Sept 19th.

If you have a home within view of the Willow Creek Campground, you likely heard me screaming.
Screaming for help.
Screaming for someone to do something, anything.
Screaming because my heart just died in my arms.
Screaming for a solid 20 minutes before my voice broke, and the only sound that could escape me was my sobbing.

This "vet" had the chance to help Castiel, and instead of doing so, she IGNORED her because she couldn't be bothered to give a damn about a cat who wasn't her patient.

I HIGHLY recommend that if you value the life of your pet and you love your pet, that you NEVER, NEVER, NEVER bring your pet to this disgusting excuse of a "vet".

If you are in Granby on vacation, or like we were: working to heal the community and its resources, I would HIGHLY recommend you go to the vet by the Log Cabin Mexican/Ice Cream place, as it was HIGHLY recommended by many who I encountered after Castiel passed.

I'll never forget the town of Granby that I fell in love with, how the people there were so kind to us and so receptive of us and our work in the campgrounds.

I'll never forget the incredible kindness extended to me at Ace Hardware, Debbie's Diner, Fitch Ranch Meats & Market, The Bowerbirds Den, and Two Pines Supply. Especially at Two Pines Supply ? where I blindly wandered in after I stopped at the vets office on September 18th to let them know they killed Castiel.

I will NEVER forget that "Dr. Sue" killed my Castiel.

What a wonderful experience! Dr. Sue took wonderful care of Mocha, the cat, and we are both very satisfied with the kind, careful, and thoughtful care she received.

Current pathogen management practices were very easy to follow. Just park where they tell you to when you schedule your appointment and call their office. They will come take the patient inside, when they are ready, and call you to discuss treatment options after they examine your pet. The visit was very prompt, but not rushed.

Thank you all for taking such good care of us!

Love Doc Suzie and Chris! They always go out of their way to take care of our dog. Especially since he has a habbit of getting sick over holidays! They always put our minds at ease. Our animals are our kids at this point and we wouldn't want anyone else taking care of them. Thanks Ladies keep up the great work.

Recently moved to the area and Dr Sue was highly recommend. She took her time with my two doggies, made great recommendations and advised against certain treatments due to the area. Her staff is great and friendly and attentive. Great experience all around!
