I cannot say enough good things about the GoodVets in Streeterville! From the moment we walked in, the entire team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive to my dog, Piper.

Josh, in particular, went above and beyond to make sure Piper was comfortable and well cared for. His kindness, patience, and expertise truly made all the difference. It’s clear that everyone here genuinely cares about the animals they treat, and I feel completely confident that Piper was in the best hands.

If you’re looking for a vet that treats your pet like family in Chicago, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I'm writing this review after taking about a month to see if I was just upset, but no, I do believe that I was treated poorly and the whole situation was bad. I brought my two 3 month old kittens here to be seen for a well check after receiving them from an overseas breeder (I know, wtf, it's a long story and yes I'm that bougie.) This visit was fine. One of the cats had crusty eyes; a bit of discharge that came and went throughout the day. The vet gave them both a clean bill of health except the one with the eye thing, she said it was probably an eye infection and I should keep an eye on it (haha) and prescribed an ointment for me use daily. I did this as directed for a week, and there was no change. I called and the vet said that was concerning, said it was very likely an infection and prescribed some kind of medicated eye drops to use, and told me to keep a very close eye on it and if this didn't work, to come in right away. So I did the full course of the eye drops, 21 days, and it got better! So I was relieved. In the meantime, the app they have you download was blowing up telling me that my cats were overdue for their next well check and reminding me every day to make another appointment, which felt like, way too soon for some indoor kittens, but OK there must be a rhythm to these things and as a new cat owner, I was extremely vulnerable to not knowing what to do. In the meantime, waiting another week, the cat's eye crusties actually came back. So I pulled myself together, made an appointment, and in we went.

This is when things got weird. So we're seeing the vet and first of all, this vet (a diff one) kept asking me things that were clearly in their chart from the first visit. (Do they have their shots?) so much so that I actually said to, "Have you read the charts?" The other thing was when we got to the eyes issue, I said I was concerned because we had gone through 2 expensive solutions and neither of them worked - so what would we do about the eye infection? Her answer was, "some cats just have crusty eyes." AFTER MAKING ME THINK THIS WAS A SERIOUS ISSUE that required 2 different medications for over 2 months, the answer was, "maybe just get some moisturizing wipes on amazon". In addition, she asked "why did you bring them in again so soon?" BECAUSE YOUR APP KEPT TELLING ME I HAD TO and because YOU SCARED ME INTO THINKING MY KITTEN HAD A SERIOUS EYE INFECTION. Lastly, the tech took their weight and I asked what they weighed and she said, "don't worry they are healthy" and I said, "I know that I need to know so I can monitor their food amounts." Like, duh, I'm not asking for fun. Isn't that an important thing a cat owner needs to know?

To top it off, she kept referring to the cats as girls in the appointment. I corrected her 3 times, and then gave up. I was not being listened to. The whole thing felt weird and offputting, not to mention it was expensive.

We will not be back to GoodVets Streeterville.

I cannot say enough good things about GoodVets! When my dog injured her leg on a Friday night, I was panicked and expecting a long, stressful wait. But they got us in within minutes and took such incredible care of her. Josh, Dr. Ennis, and Kelsey went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and well taken care of. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion made a stressful situation so much easier. I am beyond grateful for their quick response and excellent care. Highly recommend GoodVets to anyone looking for top-tier veterinary service!

No more visit for me.

I’ve always had great experiences with Dr. Post, and the last visit was no exception. I appreciate the extra care and attention she provides. Though sometimes she made me feel like I asked stupid questions. (I mean duh that’s why I go to a vet).

Unfortunately, I have to take 4 stars off because of my experience with the vet assistant. While she was friendly at the start, her attitude changed once I started asking questions. She seemed unhappy, rushed through explanations, and hurried off without looking back.

When she gave me my cat’s medications, she spoke very quickly and rushed through the instructions. I tried to ask for clarification, but she answered just as quickly and left before I could ask more questions. It felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially compared to my previous visit, where another vet assistant made sure to ask, “Are there any more questions?” before leaving.

I understand I might have booked the wrong type of visit (i made mistakes- and I apologize), but that doesn’t justify being rude. My cat deserves BETTER CARE, and I’m genuinely sad because I love Dr. Post, but this experience makes me hesitant to return.

My two cats, Aspen and Bijou, have been patients at GoodVets for about two years now. Both cats have somewhat complex health histories, so finding a veterinarian who is skilled and compassionate has always been a top priority for me.

That’s why I want to give a shoutout to Dr. Post! She is a truly outstanding vet — extremely knowledgeable, meticulous, and incredibly attentive. Every appointment feels personalized, and she always takes the time to explain her diagnoses and recommendations in detail, which is something I deeply value as a very anxious pet parent.

I know Aspen and Bijou are in great hands with her and the GoodVets team!

Had a great visit taking my dog here for a cough. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly, talking to me while I waited to be seen. I think their name was Josh or John. DR. Creger was so friendly with my puppy it was like she was treating one of her own dogs. She made sure that I understood everything in Lehman terms and what the game plan was for treating my boy. Will be switching all future vet care to here. Couldn’t recommend more.

Goodvets Streeterville always does a phenomenal job from the moment of check in to all the way through the visit. I know my dog is getting the best care and treat him like their own. The entire staff is so patient in answering all my questions. I also love the hours so I can get in on weekends/after work. Huge shout out to Nurse Caroline for our excellent visit today - she took great care of my pup during his vaccinations!

EDIT: Adding relevant correction to the below: the prescription Josh claimed to have called in, the one I have requested for weeks, was NOT called into the pharmacy. I assume to try and get patients to get a smaller supply for more money. The willful neglect of their animal patients has to be illegal...

I was taking my cat here since 2020, and will never trust this facility again. The negativity radiates throughout and the communication and lack of care in the past year has been beyond appalling. You can call, you'll be ignored. You can email, you will be ignored. You can go into the practice and speak to a human, you will still be ignored! A tech at the practice literally told me to "RUN" last year and that they do not value the quality of life of the pets they treat. They are no longer an employee there.

Not only do vet techs and vets constantly leave the practice, creating more stress for the animals, the Vet Manager Josh is someone I would never trust. I brought my cat in on Monday for a scheduled Solencia injection (which increased in price by $50 since last year) to be told that a vet tech scheduled the appointment incorrectly and there were "supply chain" issues. I asked why no one had communicated that with me before I gave my cat two days of Gabapentin and came there. "We were hopeful!" Josh then said he would reach out personally and even come to my apartment to administer the injection. He sent an email that day, and then never returned a single email from me.

By Friday, I called the office directly and was told that Solencia had been in stock since Tuesday. I had to bring in my cat last minute, stressed. The entire lobby smelled like dog feces. They took her in the back (something I don't allow normally because she stays calmer if she can see me) and the vet tech rudely handed the carrier to me. I've NEVER seen my cat as stressed as she was that day, and she even pooped in her carrier, something she has never done in 15 years. The front desk told me Josh had been in the office that week, but doesn't work Fridays. I told them I was still waiting for a refill on a medication-- of course they only wrote 2 refills for this. This was now my 5th attempt at a refill because they don't provide their email/fax (don't have one apparently) to the pharmacy to be contacted directly for refills.

I called in today, days later, and stated I'm once again requesting refills for my cat. Not only did they call my cat the wrong name, they then placed me on a hold for 13 minutes while they called the pharmacy-- you couldn't just do it and call me back to confirm? Once confirmed, I had to ask if this was Josh. It was. He, of course, blamed the pharmacy and accused them of giving me the run around... I told him I had no issue with the pharmacy, my issue was with the vet practice who refused to call in the refill for 10+ days. I then asked why he offered services he had no intention of providing and ignored my emails. He claimed he had a family emergency and no one in the office knew. This is beyond nonsensical-- if you can't work, you put an OOO on. If you have tasks you can't complete, you delegate. These aren't office tasks, these are LIVE ANIMALS. There was absolutely not accountability, no apology, no integrity. To blame neglecting my cat's care on FAMILY is repugnant. If I hadn't called, yet again, my cat would still not have her medication.

So if you hate your pet, take them here. If you love your pet, please go somewhere else, as all that matters to Goodvets is greed, ego, and ignoring their patients.
