Our family recently adopted a very sweet 2-year-old dog who needed basic obedience training. We live in Georgia, but based on the recommendation of a family member who lives in Illinois and is familiar with Good Dog Academy, we called Marti and she was able to provide us with coaching, guidance, and support in a variety of ways. In addition to basic training techniques, our phone consultations covered diet and nutrition, play and exercise, dog park etiquette, and grooming tips. Marti also recommended several videos and books that were especially helpful. In the past, we''ve taken dogs to training classes locally, but we've never received the level of personal service tailored to our dog's specific needs and temperament until we discovered Marti's ability to deliver outstanding service from hundreds of miles away.

Good Dog Academy has done an amazing job helping to train Emma, our 8 month old border collie puppy. We worked with Marti Jadd for a few months before we went on a cross country car trip with our dog. We just got home from our trip and it was so much fun - even with an 8 month old puppy. Emma was wonderful in the car and in hotels. When we went to the dog parks, she got along with other dogs extremely well, even with all of the excitement. The experience in Good Dog Academy’s daycare and training with other dogs ahead of time got Emma used to the experience and able to deal with other dogs - bigger and smaller. When we had her “off leash” on the hiking trails Emma was consistent with staying within 20 yards of us and not running off where we could not see her. Marti and her team were great with training not only our dog, but us, as owners, so we knew best how to handle a growing puppy.

We will be coming in for additional training as needed and take advantage of the amazing daycare (one visit is all it takes to see how professional the facilities are!). Good Dog Academy’s patience and expertise were key to our great experience with Emma.

We found Good Dog Academy by accident and it was the best thing that could've happened. Our Bearded Collie puppy, Brewster, started training with Marti at 10 weeks and he's learned so much, so quickly. He loves his play dates there. He can't wait to get out of the car. Tbe dogs are all different breeds and ages and the boarding is in-home. Marti is patient, kind and knowledgeable. Her expertise is matched by her love of animals and her work. Hector and her staff are dedicated and take great care of the dogs.

The property is spotless, well-maintained and has large covered, open places for the dogs to run, play and learn. She has helped us in caring and training our little guy who is growing into a happy, calm, well-behaved (Ok, mostly 😊 because he's still a puppy) dog that we can take anywhere with us.

I have been bringing my dog to Good Dog Acadamy for years and I cannot recommend them highly enough. When I pull in for drop off, my dog is so excited to get out and play. Marti has also helped me find the proper diet for my dog's sensitive stomach. She carries a wide variety of healthy food and treats so there is no need to guess what to buy at the pet store. I would never bring my dog anywhere else for boarding or daycare, they are the best!!!

Good Dog Daycare does an incredible job caring for our gentle little coton de tulear, giving him lots of love and positive reinforcement. He always looks forward to going there. Other places seem to treat all dogs the same, but Marti understands that they all have different personalities and respects each one for who they are.

The facilities are amazing with separate areas for different types of dogs, very large and beautiful indoor and outdoor areas, horses and other animals. I think they truly understand how to care for dogs in a holistic way. They provide resources for training, grooming, nutrition, overnight boarding, and have professionally answered any other questions we've had.

Took my shy and nervous but friendly puppy there for individual lessons and daycare. Lessons: we both gained a wealth of very positive training. Daycare: pup didnt want to leave, was thrilled when we turned into the drive the next time. Her behavior at home shows that she has had only very positive and encouraging interactions at daycare. She went into heat so we've suspended her visits until she's done. I can hardly wait til she goes back. This place is structured and safe and I can fully trust that my precious dog will only be given the best treatment here.

I have been using Good Dog Academy exclusively since 2014 and I would not bring my "Norman" to anyone else. Everyone that knows me knows that my Dog means the world to me. I've also lived in the area for over 40 years and there is no other business that compares. Marti is highly experienced and the dogs best interests come first. The facility is CLEAN and Marti is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to best practices. She provides a loving environment and I trust and know that when Norman is in her care he gets the Best and his HAPPY. In the four years I've been using GDA he can't wait to exit the car when I drop him off. GDA and Marti Jadd are a blessing to me and my boy.

Marti and Hector are simply the BEST!!! So knowledgeable, so helpful in answering any questions I’ve had. I have never felt worried about leaving my dog at the GDA, for 10 hours a day, multiple times a week. Anyone looking or possibly thinking about taking their dog to daycare.....THE GOOD DOG ACADEMY IS THE ONLY PLACE TO GO!!! Hands down, simply the best!!!♥️
