Our dog and I had private lessons with Kirk and the difference in the dog's behavior is night and day. We had been struggling to get him to walk quietly on a leash without pulling or knocking us over. Now we get frequent compliments about our dog's good behavior. Our dog has a genetic behavioral/temperment issue and Kirk has helped us to understand how to interact with him and train him in order to manage the undesirable behaviors and bring out the best in our dog. If you take your dog to Gillette Kennels (for training) you should be open to learning and expect to work with your dog, but if you do you will be happy with the results.

This place was referred to me by my friend. Who had nothing but positive experiences, but mine was not Initially, I wanted to board both of my dogs together because my male dog has separation anxiety, which they recommend me not to do that for the first time being bored so I had to pay for a separate keenels. When I picked up both of my French bulldogs, my male dog was in bad shape. He was shedding extremely bad had very very high anxiety and on his report card they said he relied on my female dog and that in the future they need to room together in the future. Both of my dogs were coughing and sneezing. The next day, both of my dogs were vomiting, nonstop. My male dog literally vomited for over 24 hours. I had to pay to take him to the emergency vet.I couldn’t wait 48 hours for his vet appointment. When I contracted this place. They informed me that when my dogs were staying there. There was 2 to 3 puppies that had kenneled cough. And was only noticed once they had accepted and booked the dogs. They had been receiving phone calls in the last 24 hours of animals having diarrhea, vomiting, cough, and sneezing once they return home with their owners. Never did I receive a phone call that my dogs were sick. Never did I receive a phone call that my dogs have been exposed to sick dogs never have I received a phone call that they had a outbreak. I don’t not recommend this place. It is extremely expensive. And I have an extremely sick dog. Did the emergency at my vet. Both my dogs have kennel cough. Now antibiotics for 2 weeks & highly contagious to other animals.

We have used Gillette for many years and our dogs are well cared for. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Our current dog seems excited to be there and leaves us willingly.
We were surprised when we picked him up this time that he desperately needed to relieve himself. He peed for over 60 seconds and deficated a large amount before he would get in the car. And, 3 more times that afternoon. I don't know if there was a staffing problem or if he chose to do this or it was just a fluke.

Our dog gets super excited whenever we drop him off here. The staff love animals and you can tell by the way they remember his name and are visibly excited to see him. Our putbull has had nothing but good experiences staying here. We find the pricing reasonable as well.

Everyone there is very professional and friendly. You can tell they really enjoy working there. The animals are in good, caring hands.
Their facility is clean, even in the kennel area.
Boarding school dogs are worked with love. It's very apparent the trainers are good at what they do. The owner, Kirk is extremely professional and knows how to effectively run the place.

Top notch, high standards. Always smells clean in the lobby, the kennels outside are very clean. The staff is friendly and love animals. They are safe when handling my girl. She gets excited when we pull in to drop her off. Kirk did some training with my dog when she was a puppy, as well. His techniques work well.

Clean facility, courteous staff and our dogs appear enthusiastic when we drop them off. The kennel's and runs are an appropriate size for our medium to large dogs.

The staff show a fondness for the dogs in their care.
