I want to give my whole hearted thanks to everyone there !!! A few months back, my friend's dog got shot in the face by San Bernardino Police for NO other reason than to kill the dog , which was tied up !! Animal control came to pick up the animal and that wonderful dog was still alive and fighting hard to stay that way !! The animal control brought her here and they did miracles for her !! My friend had several other dogs and the only way she would be able to still see her was if i adopted her, which I did. However, both my friend and I are both out of work and couldn't afford all the cost of her care. These wonderful people understood the whole situation and truly care about animals and worked with me on the cost of her care !! I am very happy to say that me and my friend's dog has healed beautifully and is a very happy and lucky dog to be alive thanks totally to this wonderful and caring Veterinarian!!! We are forever greatful for helping her and being so generous !!! Thank you so so much !!
Sincerely, Dana Goodall and Paws !!!

Edit

So the service here was a bit shaky, but it got better. There was a mistake where the gave the wrong kitten to the wrong person; my kitten to another person. Its okay, both looked identical from the same litter so I get it. They corrected it asap, were upfront and honest about the mistake. Even treated me sickly kitten with antibiotics free of charge since she had a bad kennel cough.

I paid for her to get fixed but wasn't able to being that she was sick...it's been months and I'd forgotten until recently to set an appointment. Now that she's better I will call. I'm surprised they didn't contact me about it but I think they feared the kitten may have been too sick and died. She was in terrible shape and I was a worried mess for a week until she started improving.

Love the staff, the service, etc!

I had to pick up a dog there that was picked up by Animal Control in SB. (This was a dog that had been rehomed over 4 year ago, but still had my information on the microchip). They wouldn't even look or acknowledge that I was there, it took over an hour and a half for them to release the dog to me after I paid $170 for what looked like bogus charges. They yelled at each other in front of other clients. They were also very rude and spoke about clients poorly when those clients were in the waiting room. NOT impressed. Would NEVER go back. Horrible experience for only having to pay and pick up a dog....the vet didn't even want to speak to me about him. The dog was also full of bird poop, the tech told me that the area that he was in had birds right above him and they didn't have time to clean him up all the way.

Went to this vet today for our puppy's broken toenail. Generally unprofessional, and then the vet didn't even really examine our pup before sending one of the office workers in with a list of recommended services (including anesthesia for our 12 week old pup!) that totaled up to $567! Decided we'd seek a second opinion. Paid the $40 office visit fee to get out of there, and prayed our baby hadn't been exposed to parvo. Went elsewhere, where the nail was removed, cleaned, received antibiotics, puppy shots, dewormed her...well, they were just awesome. $81 later, we couldn't believe we'd even considered what GD&C had suggested. Won't ever go back.

The AMAZING doctors and LOVING staff saved my dog's life..... two times!!! The first time my dog had terrible bronchitis, I thought he wouldn't survive but doctors and staff went the extra mile and saved him. The second time my dog had been in a road accident, I brought him to the hospital hurt, in shock and paralyzed. Thanks to the wonderful treatment here he is walking, running and enjoying life. I LOVE THIS HOSPITAL!!!

The BIGGEST ripoff ever. $300 to get my dog spayed and have a couple shots. They have some kind of agreement with the nearby animal shelter. Owners are told to pick their pets up and be subject to whatever cost it's going to be. In my case, $300. It's not that much anywhere else. They included a cone for my dog for $15 (couldn't take it off the tab for whatever reason). A cheap plastic thing that must have cost the less than a dollar. I'm never going back again.

Do not come here. Look for a place that doesn't require a down payment of your first born.

The worst service I have ever had! The way we were treated was enough to bring several of my family to tears. They are not here for the benefit of the animals. They are here for the money! We could not take our new family member home because they were trying to swindle us out of money for illnesses we know for a fact she did not have. They said she could not be fixed because she had kennel cough but guess what?! She was fixed the next day anyways and adopted right out when they said they'd put her down as soon as we couldn't make the outrageous payments for illnesses she didn't have or let my dad see the dog he was going to happily dish out HUNDREDS for - even at the potential that she could die.

They said that they told us all the ways we could work around it, but as the kid of the people adopting - I was there and I saw my parents trying to negotiate payments any way they could. NO BUDGE. We call them the next day and they try to cover their tracks and be underhanded, deceitful people. Because of the emotional trauma my family has faced here, we can never go back. My heart aches for all the babies out there in the pounds that potentially have lost their chance at homes because of their actions. Who knows how many there were.

My suggestion is, if you encounter them and they bring you in the back room to discuss treatments - record everything and the entire conversation on a recorder or phone. Know your rights and talk to the actual pound of what you are allowed to do, because the clinic is not trying to help you.

My dog was taken to General Dog and Cat Hospital after being adopted from the San Bernadino Animal Shelter. He was to be neutered and given his travel vaccinations and papers. While General was given a number to call when the procedures were done, they neglected to call, and when I called to check on him the next day, they charged me with an overnight boarding fee. Because I am not from California, I had transportation set up for when General stated the dog would be ready. I paid by credit card over the phone and was told the dog was ready and that he was in great condition. When the transportation arrived, they were told the dog was not ready and was being held until payment was made. They had apparently lost all of my information. Long story short, I was charged with another boarding fee for that night. When the dog got to me, I noticed he was covered in fleas, which General had neglected to tell me. When I called to ask about the fleas, I was told that in the surgery notes it stated he "had a few fleas, not sure about infestation". As I am from a state largely without fleas, I was shocked that he even received his travel papers in such condition, and immediately took him to my local vet when we arrived home. The local vet was horrified at the condition of the neuter (metal staples were used), and informed me that he would have to have the staples removed at a later date, another piece of information that I was not told. The vet also saw right away that there were live fleas all over the dog and prescribed him and my other dog flea medication. Her words were "your dog was butchered". AVOID THIS VETERINARIAN.
