Was in search for a grooming service for a while now as trying to bath a German Shepherd puppy is like going to war. This would be the first time going to the groomers for my puppy. Now there are many grooming businesses to choose from however I chose this grooming business because of my initial phone call with the owner Juan. I explained how I’ve tried to bathe my puppy alone and what he’s scared of and if that’s something he would allow at his business because we also want to make sure the groomer is ok with the dog as well. He reassured me he will guide the dog to his comfort level of grooming and see what challenges he may face during the process. Juan was super informative on their grooming options and let me know about self bath center they have as well. Because he took much time and effort over the phone to speak with me about his business and options, I trusted him to groom my dog. We spoke more when I picked up Kovu from his first time at the groomers (5 months) in ways I can make him more comfortable with grooming next time and tips and tricks to do at home for his shedding season coming up. I recommend anyone to give Juan’s business a call for your pets grooming needs!! Looking forward to our next visit with Juan at Fresh Pals Pet Spa! Thank you Juan!!

WE JUST CONFIRMED WITH OUR VET THIS PAST WEEK THAT WHEN THIS GROOMER SHAVED OUR DOG. THEY CUT TO CLOSE ON BOTH EARS IN THE SAME PLACE AND OUR DOG IS NOW HEALING FROM THESE WOUNDS. STAY AWAY

My fiance and I recently moved to Bensenville IL. We were looking for a new groomer for our dog, due to ours being located around 25 minutes away. I looked on line and found Fresh Pals Pet and Spa. The reviews looked good so I dropped our baby off there to get a complete grooming which was supposed to include haircut, wash, nails cut and grind, and teeth brushed. (March 22, 2024) After a couple of hours after drop off I received a call from someone named Juan. Who asked me what I wanted to do about our dogs knots? Our dog is a Bichon Frise so we do know from time to time he will get knots but never to the point where it is an issue. Our Mellow goes regularly to a groomer so he is very well taken care of. Either way I discussed the (2) options (1) was to trim him down in which the knots can be removed, or keep them and eventually we would have to trim him down. I expressed my concern that we did not want our dog to be completely shaven, also I would have to discuss this with my fiance. He assured me that they have the correct equipment to cut his fur down and you he would be fine. I briefly spoke to my fiance and we agreed as long as our dog would not be completely shaven. When my fiance went to pickup Mellow at first he did not recognize him. He sent me a photo and immediately I started to cry due to them completely cutting off all his fur. I got home and then seen that they also did not clip and grind his nails correctly. When my fiance had picked him up their card reader did not work so they had to invoice me. In the meantime they texted me to make sure that I received the invoice. I informed them that I did but I was not happy with the service he then immediately called me to start to argue with me and said I told him it was okay. I informed him that I was going to get off the phone with him so that we would not argue and I hung up. Since then I did receive a very condescending text from the company about payment. I did respond and they have been paid. However, now our poor Mellow has been traumatized by the way they shaved him down to actually seeing the pink in his skin. We now need to pay someone again to grind his nails down so they do not scratch our floors. Either way I hope the photos I post and this review will keep people away from this merchant. They do not care about the animals and the people they service. They did not apologize and did not give me a discount for their bad practices! BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!!! PLEASE KEEP YOUR FUR BABIES AWAY FROM THIS GROOMER!!!
