I spent $18,000 and several sleepless night here - and here is our story.

On July 3rd, my 38 lb dog Bella was up sick most of the night. By the 5th, she stopped drinking and eating so I took her to the closest ER. Bloodwork indicated pancreatitis. She was treated and seemed to get slightly better. On July 7th, she seemed to have relapsed so I made an appointment early on 7/8. She had an obstruction that caused a blockage and needed emergency surgery to save her life and this is when I came to Four Seasons. The estimate was $7500 on the low end. Complications led to more nights in the ER, a feeding tube, and a bit of a nightmare. Over the course of several days I had the absolute highs and lows, both good and bad experiences all at the same location.

The biggest frustration was that every 12 hours we had a new vet tech and a new vet. The challenging part is that we would finally get aligned on treatment and what care Bella needed and then the next time I came in, they had her on a different regiment, that was not what we had discussed during the previous shift. I found some vets here who are very caring - one even got on the floor in tears with me and my dog. I also found some vets here to be quite cold as well. So much so, that I had to consult the regular vet on when it was appropriate to speak up about some of the recommendations and information I was receiving. Like many of the reviews here, I found Danielle the tech to be an absolute godsend and I don’t think I would’ve kept my dog here if it wasn’t for her. Towards the end of my dog’s time there I had started getting very frustrated with some of the vets who did everything from telling me that I should put my dog down because she probably had cancer (all her biopsies came back benign by the way), to them increasing her medications after I clearly articulated that she has severe separation anxiety and needed to come home asap and be weaned off the heavy duty pain medications. I even had a vet give me incorrect information about the changes they had made to her medication’s (which I know because I had taken photos of her medical information the time I was there previously, perhaps a simple error on the vet’s part but concerning to me nonetheless and a point of frustration of revolving vets that perhaps could happen anywhere). A vet denied increasing her meds to me when I came in and my dog could not recognize me nor stand and was wetting herself uncontrollably. After being in complete tears and spending nearly $16,000, I also learned that what some people do is take their dogs to their regular vet during the day and only back to the er at night to save costs - so there’s a tip for you (as long as that does not stress out your pet more).

The good news is - my dog did have a very major surgery here to remove 18 inches of her intestine and the surgery seems to have went well. The reality was, following the surgery, my dog was declining at this hospital, And I had been encouraged on several occasions to put her down. I had made it clear that if I was going to do that, it was going to be in her home. After being home for several hours, she started pooping, eating, drinking, and overall getting better relatively quickly and I cancelled the in-home euthanasia appointment. It took several weeks for her to gain back the weight and she had a few neurological issues right after. Today she is back to 95% her normal healthy happy self with a touch of increased anxiety.

I’m very conflicted about this hospital. I think in part it really just matters who you’re seeing when you’re there. I think in my case overall they did good work and now I’m three months later with a dog that’s walking, eating, and doing all her normal things again. Overall, I am really grateful that my dog did have the surgery she needed, my girl was treated very quickly, Danielle was a light through all of it along with a handful of others as well, and I still have my girl by my side.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Four Seasons. Remi has been seeing them for thyroid cancer for over a year now. Firstly, I feel they use best practice/evidenced based treatment. Secondly, just their treatment of my pup and myself has been unreal. They are SO KIND, SO CARING, so absolutely supportive. I wouldn’t have handled Remi’s diagnosis so well without their constant support. They are ALWAYS available for questions. My and my pups comfortability are clearly their top priority. They’re wonderful at explaining and discussing everything. Literally, the best vet care I have ever experienced. Not to mention, Remi has NO indication of cancer a year post chemo!!! Thank you so so so much for everything!!!

We brought our precious little girl into the ER over the weekend and meet with Internal Medicine on Tuesday due to holiday on Monday. The entire staff was amazing, wonderful, compassionate, understanding and so knowledgeable everyone we came in contact with was so nice and helpful!! You can definitely tell this staff is here because they love what they do and it shows in how they take care of clients and clients parents. They took such good care of our little girl and worked tirelessly to make her and us comfortable.. We can’t thank you all enough for all you have done and continue to do for Faith. We know we are all in good hands!!!

I had brought my 7mo old lab puppy, Senna, in here for a severe allergic reaction. She ended up being admitted and spent 16 hours in their care. I did not have a single problem with any part of her care. The nurse, Dani, was absolutely amazing and ensured she sent me updates overnight via text as it was a sleepless night in our house. Each physician I spoke with showed genuine empathy and took their time explaining what was happening to my pup. I wish we could come to the specific hospital for all her care, but we will settle for making this our primary-emergency-room.

The staff were absolutely wonderful with our Pinky! I brought him from Wyoming, due to not being able to get in with anyone in Cheyenne, to find out what was wrong with him. They were so compassionate and explained everything that was happening. I will recommend to anyone that is in need of emergency or specialty vets, to Four Seasons.

We greatly appreciated Four Seasons kindness, compassion and guidance when we brought our Gigi in with severe congested heart failure and prepared to put her down. The doctor and staff were honest and quickly prepared us for the next step as to not prolong her suffering. I was thinking of waiting until my regular vet office opened and I'm so happy I didn't. Four Seasons showed so much compassion during this transition and even sent a sympathy card....I haven't heard anything from our regular (previous) vet.
