Thank you everyone at the shelter, including the bitter self-hating lady who didn't like me, for taking good care of Queenie. Had a great day. She is really calm and happy. Really well-behaved on walks too. 🍻

After spending a few months looking for an animal, I adopted Genesis, originally known as Hufflepuff, from this location in December. The process was incredibly smooth, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is kept spotless. Genesis is now my registered ESA, loves her new sister, and is very very spoiled. Thank you guys for the amazing experience!

Ion Jan 4th I purchased 69 new cat beds and 80 small new catnip mice and delivered them to the Forsyth County No Kill Shelter. The staff greatly appreciated them, and when I said to the lady assisting me, “please take care of all the fur babies you have, she said we all love them. Everyone here loves animals”. It’s a tough job! PLEASE GIVE TO THIS SHELTER!🙏🏻

I had a terrible experience here. i went there to look at dogs and kittens unsure of which one i was going to get. the staff were extremely friendly and patient with me and my wife. we looked at a few dogs and we let them know we have a dog at home. the staff again were extremely friendly and helpful and said we had to be a meet with the potential dogs and my dog. so i went back home to get my dog and came back. the staff that did the meet and greet were amazing and extremely friendly they all deserve raises. Now things to know my dog is a service animal, he is extremely trained and whistle trained, during one of the meet and greets with one of the dogs we were looking at i decided to take off my dogs leash to let the two dogs play a bit more. this was after establishing that both my dog and this dog were completely safe and liked each other. while they were laying on the grass playing staying within a foot of me, a lady came out and screamed at me that my dog needed to be on a leash. now my dog was controlled and was not running around all over the place. she made me and my wife extremely uncomfortable as we were literally looking at dogs to adopt and she canes outside and screams at us. now we did end up picking a puppy who is the sweetest thing in the world. Now we go to the front desk lady. we say we have made a decision on which dog and she acted as this this was an inconvenience for her. we said we can’t wait for long as my wife had to get to work mind u we got there at 12 and it is now 4 pm. we ask if she could hold the puppy for us she proceeded to roll her eyes and say she can only hold a dog for an hour. this is her description she is maybe in her 40’s with glasses and black hair. she was asking us questions about the environment we’re taking the dog into and our experience and i told her i’m a dog trainer. she said “yeah see i’ve heard that a lot and it’s never true”. then we had to wait in the lobby for an hour waiting for our dog because apparently they never did a heartworm test on the puppy. so they brought a dog that could of had heart worms out to meet my dog. then as we are waiting this woman was extremely rude and unprofessional talking about personal things and issues and ignoring us. she was also staring at me and my wife is almost a disapproving look. i almost said something but we really wanted this puppy so we said nothing. moral of the story, the back of staff is extremely friendly, nice, and polite. the front of staff is extremely unfriendly, unprofessional, and rude. my wife had a panic attack after getting the dog because she left so uncomfortable there. i would recommend this place for the animals and the staff in the back but for the front of house staff it is extremely important to be friendly to potential adopters. we almost left and didn’t adopt any dog because of the way we were yelled at like children like one lady. she looked to be in her 30’s very tall, glasses, maybe reddish hair. and the way we were almost talked down to by the front of desk lady.

Fantastic staff and a clean facility. They love and still need volunteers to help keep up with the animals but do a remarkable job with what they have! I love just going to visit the animals since I have too many at home to bring in any more. Knowledgeable, friendly staff and the animals always love having company!
