Love using the self dog wash. They provide everything you need, towels, shampoo and dryer. Great variety of dog treats and food. Love visiting the kitten and pariots. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

used to come here all the time for years with my friends and family, but after multiple terrible experiences with the older employee sandy, i will never come back. after adopting my cat there, who was sick when i adopted him, sandy accused me of lying and told me it wasn’t her problem. then she told the owner i demanded they take my cat back the day after adoption, which was a blatant lie. after contacting joliet animal control, who forepaws gets their cats from, it was resolved day of with no problem, no thanks to forepaws. this is only one of countless incidents in which sandy has been disrespectful for no reason. miserable lady, even rude to CHILDREN who come in.

For the last couple of years Forepaws had phenomenal employee service every single visit my husband & I would come in for his military service animal. Up until these past six months or so, Sandy has become a consistent issue with her attitude/sarcasm & refusal to help. Not to mention little to none knowledge when asked for recommendations in basic areas other than stating, “…this is good, this is better but too expensive…” that shouldn’t be too difficult for her to comprehend or find out for later use in the company’s better interest rather than focusing on being into her personal business on her phone or yelling at other children around the store for dropping a dog treat. Kids touch things & accidents occur, understandable. Went in again recently and she refused to answer my question for the second time when asking her on cleaning solution & rushed us to checking out before I had even finished grabbing my things by scanning in the dog food bags while I was still grabbing other items. I enjoy walking around Forepaws because it’s not like a typical place or low end & unclean Petco/Petsmart either. Hopefully Megan is still the owner of this beautiful place, there’s got to be better discipline in mannerism & etiquette with your disgruntled employee please & Thank You. Outside of Sandy, Forepaws has always been a safe & comforting environment to bring our service dog into from time to time. I expect better company moral towards veterans than what we’re paying for.

While I historically have appreciated this place, I went there w my kids today and the woman who was working there immediately when we walked in started scolding my children telling them what they could and couldn’t do while in the store and how they had to stay w me. They were not doing anything wrong in the first place. And totally crossing a line to address them like this.

used to love this place. I am very interested in adopting a cat and this is the second time Sandy has been unpleasant about people going in the cat room.

Edit-I understand this is done to keep the kitties happy and healthy, but Sandy is rude. The way she speaks to customers is irritating and unprofessional.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a large selection of food and snacks for pets. Bonus they have an adoption room for cats, and wash stations for your dogs. Highly recommended.
