Took my dog for a anesthetic teeth cleaning and got him back with a broken mandible/jaw. He was eating, chewing, playing w toys just fine before I took him and when they handed him back to me he has a broken jaw, his mouth could not close and he was screaming in pain. Pretty much told me I may have to put him down in 3 days if he cant drink or eat or have surgery to remove his lower jaw. Had a hardest time finding a dental surgeon last minute but thankfully was able to get in through a friends help for emergency surgery. He has a splint in for 2 months. Cant eat or drink on his own, poor guy is in pain and constantly needs to be attended to since he cant close his mouth or swallow well w a splint. Hospital is taking no accountability for it, does not help w covering any bills etc. Worst decision of my life took inna happy playful dog, upon his exam the week prior the vet said how healthy he is and has many years left despite his old age. And now I have a dog that is suffering and not sure what the outcome will be when the splint needs to be removed. If your dog is old please be careful where you take him as they need to be handled gently with care so bones are not being broken during extractions.

Very competent communicative Vet and staff. Dr. Jaramillo is keeping my dog with congestive heart failure alive and comfortable. I drive from Lake Forest to Costa Mesa and it's so worth it.

I have such a very bad experience with this place I was the first to come so early to be the first going in then the girl called me on the phone and told me that I had to wait several hours for my dog to have an exam even I was the first one I told her that I don’t wanted to drop off my dog that I want to stay there waiting until my dog is ready to go, because I needed to speak with the doctor. She told me that still had to wait several hours. I think it’s ridiculous and because we are trying to save some dollars and we’re gonna go through this. I don’t think it’s right I love Dr. J. but the staff really sucks. I won’t be coming here anymore. I’d rather pay a little more money and go somewhere else where I can make an appointment and go in without waiting several hours or drop my dog in. Good luck everyone!

I recently took my pet to this vet because he was having problems with his breathing, and I wanted to get it checked on. When the vet looked at him, they said he had fluid build up in his chest, and I would need to have it removed, and they could do it for around 400$, add that up with X-rays and that's another 100$ added. When they completed the procedure, we still noticed that something was wrong with our cat, so we took him to a different clinic because of the outrageous price. At the other vet, they looked at him and said that he STILL HAD FLUID IN HIS CHEST! So all that money I dumped into this vet was wasted because they couldn't even take out all of it the first time. I highly suggest going somewhere else until they change their prices because I shouldn't have to pay over 500$ to help my pet breathe properly again.

This clinic charged me $400 for a procedure that they did wrong. My cat was having a problem that was causing a buildup of fluid in her chest cavity. The vet recommended that we see a cardiologist but they said that we should have a pleural tap done to remove the fluid and relieve the pressure on her lungs. We agreed. The procedure cost $400 and then another $160 for them to X-ray her after to make sure the fluid was removed. They removed 85mLs of fluid but my cat was still breathing heavily when she got home. The very next day I took her to the cardiologist at a completely separate clinic who performed an ultrasound and found that one side of her chest was still filled with fluid. They offered to do another pleural tap which I accepted. This time they pulled 150mLs and informed me that the previous vet had tapped only one side for some unknown reason. I called this clinic to inform them that they did the procedure wrong and that I’d like a refund on just the $400 they charged for the procedure. They refused and told me that they “saved her life” and that “the procedure was meant to give her time until she saw the cardiologist”. When I reminded them that they had not done what I paid for the manager on the phone kept saying that was just “my opinion”. This clinic used to be good but COVID really did a number on them. They no longer care about the comfort of the pets they treat or the quality of care. They only care about getting as many pets in and out in one day as they can
