Always good to see the all caring people that care and take care of my father. There’s not a perfect environment for his condition or state but his experience here is better than anywhere else he could be. They’re always open and responsive to family’s involvement, it’s rewarding for everyone involved and how you could best manage your loved one’s care. Be kind 🙂

My mom has been here since January and I think that Emerald Hills is amazing.I have delivered to several nursing homes as part of my job and this is by far the best I've seen. The aides and nurses as well as the wonderful administration have all been caring and attentive to her needs. Just finished Thanksgiving dinner with mom provided completely by the staff. Thank You Emerald Hills.

I wanted to visit my friend. I hate the kiosk machine. I am unable to line up my eyeballs or something. If I take my glasses off, I get too close because I am nearsighted. If I move away, I cannot see what the words say below. I also have some blindness in the right eye. It wants my forehead and I wear a wig with thick long bangs. Today I just ripped the wig off in front of God and everybody trying to get the machine to work. It did not work. IF IT DOES THIS AGAIN, I AM JUST GOING TO WALK AWAY AND GO VISIT MY FRIEND. FRUSTRATED, ANGRY. Why can't I just write my name on a paper The girl at the front says there is an app for my phone. Maybe it would work better. They hired a new chef at the end of February, so food is much better.

I was transferred here from Baylor Scott and White Hospital, having been told that they were ready for me and transportation had just arrived. Upon arrival, the front desk appeared empty, with nobody receiving documentation. When taken to my room, the room appeared to be partially clean. Later on I found the floor to be sticky and the TV with no controls and having a display that said time was expired and a new code was needed, but no one knew how to do it. Most angering was that when I should receive my nighttime medicines, I was told that there weren’t any. I was supposed to have several critical prescriptions for my heart, fractured neck, high grade pain medication and prescription cough medicine, among others. I was going to have to wait till the next day, because it seemed that my paperwork was in the administrative office and everyone had gone home. Sleep became impossible because of intense pain and deep coughing, as well as a clock that never stopped “gonging” somewhere down the hall. Totally unacceptable and putting me at risk. It is now almost 1:30 AM and no heart, pain or other meds since yesterday morning.

The caller ID was for a nurse Kasey or Kelsey. This nurse had a very nasty attitude when I was trying to off her help. Yes patients are sick but you are supposed to always keep it professional when on the clock. Do better please.

Terrible place! Had to move my parent from there. He got extremely worse after just one month. Thank God we moved him and was back on the road to recovering. Lazy aids and also the food was so salty! What sort of nursing home thinks a ton of salt is good for anyone much less an elder. Disgusted
