I put this animal in Christina’s care whom is going to bring it in the morning. I was however informed that this place will more than likely euthanize the poor little guy because it would need extensive care. This is a baby bunny only a few weeks old. My 12yr old daughter saved him, made him comfortable, and took the ride with me at 9:30 at night took help save it! I REALLY hope I didn’t just bring it to his end! I found someone who is willing to actually rehabilitate the poor thing if you don’t want to take the time to do so! This news is so unfortunate. I get putting animals out of pain and suffering when nothing can be done however a broken foot on such a young animal should not be a deal breaker! If I get word that this little guy is being cared for and given a chance at life I will change my review. Christina has my information please contact me of the outcome of this bunny.

Kind people caring for injured birds and animals. Modern facilities funded by County of DuPage through the Forest Preserve District program. They also rely heavily on volunteers and donations to meet the extraordinary demands of providing emergency medical care and rehabilitation for the birds and animals.
They are often “at capacity” on admissions for emergency admissions, so don’t be surprised if they ask you to go somewhere else.
Please donate if life’s blessed you with anything extra

They helped us find a home for a newborn possum that we found on our patio, and were incredibly helpful and concerned for the animal. We knew nothing about what to do, and they were able to find someone on short notice who could care for it.

Incredible experience dealing with them, and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Willowbrook Wildlife Clinic is awesome! One night I saw a dead possum that was hit by a car and noticed 5 of her babies were still alive. I collected the little guys and kept them overnight, unsure of what to do. Someone on Facebook recommended Willowbrook so I gave them a call. They would take the babies! I made the drive out there and the staff was very kind and helpful. The entire site is a wonderful dedicated space to wildlife rehabilitation and education. Next time I visit, I will bring the kids to enjoy the walking path, scenery and various animals. NOTE: No pets allowed on paths.

Lots of work going on at facility it will be beautiful when finished, sad that they euthanize so many animals, Brought baby squirrel in that had eyes open and running around, they told me it was about 3 week old and would be able to be released soon when old enough, when I called the next day they said they euthanized it because of foot injury? I have heard from several people that they euthanize lots of animals especially young animals because they do not have anyone to take care of them? are they not a wildlife rescue? In my experience i would not recommend them, I would go to Anderson Humane wildlife, Flint Creek Wildlife or a private wildlife rehabber.

There is a raccoon every night (around midnight ) at my ground bird feeder. Eating his heart away lol. He’s pretty friendly, and although I don’t go near him he seems gentle. I was watching him one evening and noticed he is favoring one leg. Walking with it straight out. Laying down to eat, with that leg sticking out. It seems to be broken. So I called Willowbrook (which is 5 min from my house) to have them say they don’t help raccoons. But if he’s suffering to call back. WTH. HELLO!!! He has a broken leg, of coarse he’s suffering!
Not helping is unacceptable!!!

The staff here are phenomenal. They were so kind in person and on the phone. What a wonderful resource, free of charge but accept donations to keep the hospital going- either in person or online!

1) Easy, convenient parking for people who have called ahead to arrange a drop-off.
2) Adjacent to low-key grove of tall trees in an outdoor nature center. Path guides visitors past large enclosures for observing "ambassador" hawks & animals (injured & rehabbed, but no longer able to survive in the wild). Small, sweet lily pond. Great place for families, all ages.
