I’ve been training my dog as a Service Dog at Dogs Play. Training is very compassionate for the dogs. Julie Hughes is a master trainer who is very skilled at problematic behavior and Service Dog training. I’m very happy with Dog’s Play in Archer. Julie also has many classes out in the community, which is helpful for Service Dog training.

Thank you to Julie and her crew for empowering me with knowledge and a plan to help my boy with his confidence. What sets Julie apart is her genuine commitment to building the confidence of both the dog and the pet parent. My pup, has been struggling with anxiety and fear especially after being terribly attacked by a dog (which resulted in over 30 staples) and then one month later, losing his sibling Abby, who was like his emotional support dog, to cancer. We live over 2 hours away so we scheduled a few sessions with Julie over a 2 day period. At our last session, my pup got to meet Julie's helper dog, Daisy. I was worried how my boy would react. Sure enough when Daisy came in, his tail was tucked, he was trembling with fear and headed for the door. But with Julie's guidance, my pup actually relaxed enough to meet Daisy and even play a little within 10 minutes!! I had tears in my eyes. We still have work to do but the hope and confidence Julie gave me is priceless! (I didn't take the best pictures but trust me, my boy (pointer/lab mix) was actually playing in these)

Julie is great we have a Labradoodle that is chaotic to put it mildly. She worked with him for about 6 months and he is the best dog we could hope for. He listens to commands, is obedient and loves to see her when we board him. I highly recommend Julie as a trainer, she genuinely loves all the animals she works with.

I have been attending group classes at Dog's Play for a couple months with my adolescent dog. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking to brush up their dog's behavior, get a start into the dog sport world, or just needing a place to board.Dog's Play offers a variety of services that are catered to your dog's specific goals, with tailored training plans and many class offerings. Boarding dogs have several spacious play yards to romp in with pools, obstacles, and good smells to keep them entertained for hours every day.
Master trainer Julie is always up to date with studies on dog psychology as well as local and state standards for dog care and service animal law. I have also seen Julie's work with needy dogs at Alachua County Animal Resources and many other facilities throughout Florida and surrounding states. I appreciate her commitment to ethical preservation breeding, while always having a place in her heart for those special case mutts in need.

Julie Hughes, the owner, assisted us in realizing that Zeus is fear-reactive. Her incredible depth of knowledge not only helped Zeus become the best guy I know he can be, but it also allowed us to help curb some behaviors that I had given up on because he was five years old. Zeus has so much more to learn, and with Julie’s help, I know that he will continue to thrive. I can’t say enough about the wonderful things she is doing. Everyone, from herself to volunteers and staff, showed kindness and genuine concern over Zeus's behavior. Have never kenneled my dog (he is 9), we always take our dogs in our motor home. I could not travel with them all so flew this trip.

Not only is Julie a phenomenal trainer with so much knowledge to share but her training facility is well equipped and always clean. From simple obedience to service dog training, I'd recommend Dog's Play every time.
