Beware!! I had my DOUBLE COATED Great Pyrenees groomed. We gave clear instructions that we just wanted him bathed, nails clipped, and a trim around his legs and belly to clean him up. We get him back completely shaved & his nails were not properly trimmed in the slightest sense. I have no clue where the idea to shaved my double coated dog had popped into this the groomers mind. Now my double coated dog’s skin is exposed to this florida heat and sun and will probably never grow back the same. She then continued to tell me that my dog’s coat “will grow back so beautiful”, when I had brought up the fact that she shaved my dog without permission or us asking her to do so. My dog is not a farm dog and had 0 matting or anything along those line. Shaving him to the skin was COMPLETELY unnecessary and is now a liability my wife and I have to deal with regarding his health. Even after shaving him all the way to the skin she insisted multiple times she needed to come back later and “finish the trimming” after I clearly told her we do not want any further business with her as she completely ruined my dogs coat from this point on. I recommend before doing any business with this woman that you show her a picture of exactly what you want, because clearly verbal communication is not her strong suit.
