*UPDATE* 8 months later and they still have done NOTHING!!!!! I'm so disappointed in this facility and their staff.

Animal control officer was very rude/yelled at me this morning when she called me to complain about me having to call non-emergency police number because animal control has done nothing about an aggressive dog and it came back when animal control was closed. She called me a liar, but she's the liar. She says she called me "sooo many time and left sooo many voicemails". She called me back ONE TIME. About a month ago. and left ONE VOICEMAIL. To which I called animal control back and gave them the dogs address. She was angry that she got in trouble for not doing her job and she took It out on me thinking I was an easy target for her frustration. Unprofessional and rude. I understand they are short staffed but the way she acted is inexcusable.

I drove to Crescent City from Lodi Calif. to adopt a dog. A friend put me in touch with Danielle and Sydney who work at the shelter. They literally bent backwards for me. I now have "Cash" and couldn't be happier. This shelter is full of beautiful dogs. I urge you to go there if you're looking for a dog. If you aren't looking for a dog please look on their page and look at their Amazon Wish List. Help them help the dogs that ultimately change your life. These are quality dogs, and quality people

So, we are killing dogs without a reason?
Just saw the story of Ruger and you should feel very ashamed of what you did. He had a place to stay, he could join a training program and you decided to euthanize him in his kennel. Disgusting!

They have plenty of volunteers but do nothing to help you when you arrive. Employees and volunteers literally walk around you but say nothing to you. I sent them a message about this and received a reply 4 days later about how everyone there was volunteering their time and that's how it goes. They are supposed to be there to find healthy homes for the pets. All of the dogs live in an outside environment which is a dog run covered with a tarp that has a dog house in it. From what I could see, the animals are treated well but the pervasive attitude isn't helping them find homes.

Someone who claimed to be named Chelsea refused to check on a dog that has been barking at all hours and may be injured abused or need food or water. Several people have complained about the poor thing but I’m not sure if they have found the right people. When you care more about language than a living being

Moved from Bay Area with two Husky's in the Tow. Both of them ran away. Awesome people & great service. This turned me to help in the near future in kind & help with the resources.
