Deer Grove Animal Hospital is one of a kind! We’ve been visiting Dr. Flahaven and his team for 5+ years and we always look forward to our appointments.

When my childhood dog was declining in her old age, they were so accommodating for emergency visits and I will always appreciate how thorough, honest, and empathetic Dr. Flahaven was during that time.

Since then, the team has been so excited to meet and love on all of our new additions! The front desk and vet techs are some of the sweetest people ever. They treat all of my pets like they are their own. I have a pretty nervous rescue pup. He’s 3 years old now and he’s never shown any signs of stress at Deer Grove. I think he really does look forward to it!

Lastly, I just wanted to share some of the adorable things I overheard the vet techs saying to my new kitten while they were literally cleaning gross ear mites out of her ears because it made my day how sweet they were being to her.

“Cutest cat ive ever seen”
“Just a baby”
“She is so CUTE”
“We need to be more like this kitten”
“Oh this kitten!!!”
“You are just soooooooo SWEET”
“I love you”
*audible kisses*
“Could you be any cuter?”
When they walked back into the room with her: “Where did you find this!!!”

Anyways, we love Deer Grove Animal Hospital and would recommend them to anyone in the area! Thank you for being so trustworthy and kind.

Dr. Flahaven and the entire Deer Grove Animal hospital staff have always been welcoming and accommodating. Dr. Flahaven treats animal owners with respect, is very personable, and makes our pets feel safe. My fiancé and I have taken our pets to this location for 2 and a half years. We are seriously debating staying with this vet despite the fact that we are moving from the area in the spring. We trust him to assess and give the appropriate care to our animals. I was really shocked to see some other reviews say otherwise. My personal judgment is that those reviews have left out the facts. Please highly consider this animal hospital as a trusted safe space for pet care.

The veterinarian is the best of the best of the best! He handled both of our cats with ease, which no one was ever able to do. Our older cat bites and scratches anyone that's new and he was able to calm him down in a sec. The shots he gave to our cats didn't even hurt them and he did a complementary ear cleaning. He also gave us great advice on the things to buy for them and how to best take great care of our two beautiful ones. Let's just say he is one cool cat. Deer Grove Animal hospital is top notch and without a doubt the greatest animal hospital in the State.

Dr. Flahaven and his staff have been tremendous in dealing with my reactive dog, who doesn't often do well in public. They're understanding and provide an environment where he can be treated in the best way. Dr. Flahaven always goes out of his way to answer any questions we may have. I appreciate this clinic more than they know!

My family dog was taken to this vet for the removal of a benign mass. The doctor then prescribed a medication for her following, and told us of some of the main side effects. He omitted a VERY serious side effect- kidney damage. To add insult to injury, he then said that our dog had a kidney infection, which could not be the result of the medication he prescribed. We went to a new vet and they verified she had kidney damage and THANKFULLY, since it was directly caused by said meds, they were able to treat her and she's on the mend. This doctor practices negligence at best, and after reading several other reviews where omission of details led to severe side effects, even death in some dogs, I can confidently say that I'd NEVER bring my fur baby here. Hope you'd all do the same.

I have a difficult patient/dog and vets at previous clinics had a hard time with him, they can’t cut his nails… I went here and they drew his blood, trimmed his nails and he was ready to go home with his goodie bag in no time. I am extremely satisfied and won’t take my dog anywhere else.

We just had our first visit to Deer Grove AH with my lab mix Ivy. I have owned 4 dogs and have been to many different vets over the years and this was the best experience I've ever had! Dr. Mark took the time to listen to our concerns and offered options that the other 2 vets we'd gone to never suggested. So impressed! Everyone there is so friendly. Looking forward to having Deer Grove take care of Ivy for years to come!
