I felt profiled by security when walking into the market/main entrance at the front of the school. I NEVER HAVE AN ISSUE WITH ANY OF THE OTHER SECURITY GUARDS FOR THEY ARE NICE AND COURTEOUS. I need to feel safe and comfortable in such a place I pay for higher education. The light-skinned security lady did not greet me when I came in and drew much attention to me by saying "Do you have your ID?" calling across the room. In turn I felt very uncomfortable. Also, The bookstore was closed due to a flood when I came and wasted gas for the trip after checking the normal business hours that stated that they were "open". This was a very frustrating experience and security shouldn't always judge humans based off of their appearance. I wish the EL Centro Campus Bookstore would have sent an email to their students stating that it would be closed so that their would not be a wasted trip.

Awful experience. If I had relied on the employees of the store, I would have never gotten my textbook and would have failed my class. My textbook wasn't in stock, so they took my information and promised to call me when the order arrives. Several days had passed. And I still had not heard from them so I called myself. After searching and trying to figure out who I was and which book I needed, they announced that they had sold all of the ones that had just arrived. The manager apologized and promised to order a book for me again. He said he would call. Several days later still no call, so I call back again. He told me he was working on it and would call me back in few hours. Next day comes and still no call. I call them again and ask for the manager. This time he tells me he has not forgotten about me and that he will call me back in 1 hour. Did I mention that this was a book for a summer flex term class, which, at this point, had already started? This is when I realized that I have to order the book myself directly from the publisher and I am very happy I did, because I never heard back from them. I will never come back to this store.

Maybe past years there where other persons who realized that they are there by choice and not by obligation. As a new student, let me tell you guys...you need some classes; the education you learn at school is ok, but good manners is you family value. So your poor values as person and poor customer services are entirely your time wasting. If you don’t like what you do, please let others and take a chance to another place. Thank you so much!

Have been up to the bookstore 3 times in the past two weeks with poor customer service, unanswered questions and negative attitudes. The cashiers seem to hate what they are doing and always provide one answer only to contradict themselves! I have to tried to place an order several times. first being told i cannot, then being told i can but i have to pay in advance, but it would not guarantee that i would even receive the item!

So disappointed with this book store. They sold me an access code that has already been used, we're 3 weeks into school and I still havent been able to access the textbook. Teachers encourage you to buy from the bookstore because acess codes from different places might not work. Ordering online and picking up sucks, I ordered an acess code 2 years ago and they didnt have it and were going to give me a refund and never did I stopped trying becuase all the employees are literally clueless.

As a new student that is trying to get there books/uniforms everytime i came down there they didnt have it.. then called they took ur phone number and email and tell you they will email u or call you.... you hear nothing from them at all. Idk who is working there but damn get it together. ... its only a week till school starts and you guys cant provide me with anything.... so if i didnt have to but the uniforms or books from them i wouldnt! Just irritating and definitely a waste of time when you cant get any questions answered from that bookstore.

Half of the employees here are clueless. Some seem to know what they are doing but it's very hit or miss. I would reccomend avoiding this bookstore if possible. I gave two stars for friendliness but that only gets you so far when you're trying to get a necessary book for a course.

Got in and out in just a few minutes. Had to buy scrubs and lab coat. Only thing bad is, there is no changing room. You have to guess whether or not the size fits you. I just pulled the scrub pants over my jeans to see if they fit.
