Dr. Brett Boorstin was AMAZING with our Kiesha. We were in San Diego to see Dental Surgeon for our Pom, She was going to need Echo due to heart condition before surgery could be scheduled. We called CVCA and They got us in an Hour later!! Dr Brett and his staff Throughly explained her heart condition as well as how to proceed with the dental surgery. He Sent a detailed report to us our vet and too the dental surgeon later that day, so Kiesha gets the best care and chance to do well despite her heart condition,. I would give Dr. Brett a 10 but 5 is the max i can go. You will be thrilled with the care your beloved pet will receive and the peace of mind Dr. Brett and his staff will provide you every step of the way!! Hearing your best friend has a heart murmur and potential heart disease is terrifying, you want to make sure you do everything in your power to ensure they live a healthy life. When my primary veterinarian told me they detected a heart murmur in my dog, I knew immediately he had to be checked out. My vet initially quoted me $2000 dollars to do an echocardiogram and other tests. Though I was willing to pay whatever price to get to the bottom of my dogs heart issues, I decided at such a price I was better off consulting a specialist. After doing research I found CVCA and Dr. Brett Boorstin and they were amazing. They immediately accepted my appointment and I was able to see them just two days after my vet detected the murmur (the only reason I waited was because it was the weekend.) We discussed my dogs issues, did the echocardiogram, for which I was able to be in the room the entire time, and we left very happy patients. We are forever greatful for Dr. Boorstin for taking the time to explain everything to us. They were surprisingly affordable too! I saved 800 dollars by coming here. I'm truly thankful I came here and we were able to discuss my dogs condition, and I'm endlessly thankful for this facility, the doctor and the RVTs.

We took our pup in for an echo to follow up on a small congenital heart defect and I was so impressed by the entire experience. Michael the tech was efficient and kind as he was tasked with holding a squirmy patient. Dr Boorstin was thorough, extremely knowledgeable and has a wonderful bedside manner. He explained the findings in depth and made me very confident in his expertise.
The office itself was very friendly, efficient and made the whole experience a breeze!

It is never easy to be told that your has a heart condition & even harder to find a vet that will meet your expectations/ needs, but when I say to look no further, look no more! Let me just say the receptionist was amazing when we first called CVCA. We were so concerned with the fact that our doggy needed immediate attention & had so many questions & they were very thorough with answering all of our doubts. This seemed to be the right place, so we drove over 5 hours & the best part is that we didn’t have to wait months to get an appointment. We called a Friday & by Monday we had an appointment. When we got there, the staff was very acknowledging & welcoming. Dr. Boorstin was very knowledgeable & literally diagramed out what he was explaining. It is such a great feeling to understand & realize that you are doing the best you can to make sure your pet has the right treatment. We left feeling so assured & relieved!

The whole staff was so sweet to my dog. We went in for an ultrasound because of concerning blood work, and the doctor was very knowledgeable. Luckily my pup has a healthy heart, so we will be back in a year for a check up. Loved this place & Toby had a great experience!

The entire staff is top notch. Dr. Boorstin is truly amazing. He took his time to explain everything in detail during the echocardiogram and he is very thorough. He answered all of our questions and made sure we understood everything that was discussed. The treatment plan was fully explained as to why it’s best for Toby. I appreciated the clinical summary of visit that was sent same day via email. The entire process from scheduling the appointment to the end was so efficient and professional.
