I’ve been at Culpeper Health and Rehab for a little over 2 years and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. My coworkers have become more like family and I’m truly thankful to be apart of such a strong and caring team. The care we provide goes above and beyond!

Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation is a very nice facility and has the most accommodations staff I have seen. They treat all their patients with exceptional care and continuously go above and beyond with their daily tasks. Highly recommend for those who are looking for long term or short term care!

I had a very enjoyable stay. Everyone was great to me and I can be hard to get along with. The staff of unit one was great, showers, bringing me ice, just plain nice people. To many people to name. The food was cool a lot of times but good. Thanks to all Jerry.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. My mom was suppose to go there just for 30 days for rehab.unfortunately she is now in the hospital unresponsive she has been given medicine after being told to stop we specifically asked that the physician she was seeing to be switched due to issues and was told that it would be done and wasn’t she was found on the floor because she said she was hot and thirsty and she couldn’t get anyone to come in so she tried to get it herself and ended up sleeping there til someone found her that morning (so why wasn’t she being checked on) she gained bed sores because they allowed her to lay in the bed and never attempted to reposition her she would have to call me to call out there several times to be changed or to just get something to drink she is diabetic and every meal was stuff she couldn’t eat so we would have to bring her food she also laid in the room for hours with the lady next to her deceased and no one even knew til she asked someone to check on her….i can go on and on…unless you are fortunate to be able to spend all day there with your loved one please do not send them there especially if they can’t do for themselves

I'm an R.N. & this is the worst facility I have ever seen. I would have given it 0 stars if that were an option. My father was there for 2 days way to long. He suffered tremendously under their care. He had a total of 10 falls during his short stay & was left on the floor, where he tried to pull himself along the floor to get back to bed. Take a look at the injuries he sustained to his feet, while trying to get back to bed. His Foley catheter tubing was secured with a white plastic trash bag tied around his leg. The Foley bag itself was just left laying on the dirty floor. Totally unacceptable care of geriatric patients that are there for rehabilitation. Please heed my warning & never take your loved one to this facility. They should be shut down permanently!

I'm currently only giving 2 stars as my mother is new here, I will be back to give update on our experience, she arrived on 7/30 for temporary restorative care, from suffering from a GI bleed from a procedure related to cirrhosis of liver, the nurse Ashley is very nice and has answered all my questions thus far, the 1 nurse Bree is very nice, light hearted, the rooms could be cleaner, the overall smell is a bit strong but its not the worse ive smelled, I have noticed Flys and Nats in her room at times. Like I said we are just getting here so as the days progress I will do another review on certain areas and overall progress on my mom who is waiting on PT to build strength to go home

Almost at the 2 week mark and I wanted to update stars and my experiences, We have gotten familiar with how things work, my mother is currently on level 1 temporary living
2 and 3 are long term patients. The PT department has done good with helping keep her brain working with certain activities as well as physical working out, I haven't met them because when I arrive they have already gone home for the day. But I will eventually sit in on a session or speak to PT to see where my mom is at overall, since being here. I know from what I've seen she is stronger now than when she got here. So they are doing a good job. I can't say enough good things about Ashley the day nurse, she is caring, understanding and very compassionate and follows through on her word, all things I look for and hope to get when dealing with a situation all families eventually deal with. There are other nurses who are just as friendly and very understanding, I will get their names for my final review,
The Flys/Nats have seemed to get better over the last week, and I understand it's hard to maintain when some patients leave food unattended without knowledge of nurses knowing, so the facility is doing what they can to correct the issue, the smell is still lingering, but like I said before I've smelled worse. I'm very involved in my mother's recovery/overall health and the staff is very understanding of that, and shares any information I request. I hope to give a 5 star when we are discharged so I will be back to make changes to my review.

I had the pleasure to orient recently at Culpeper Rehab for 32 days, I want to say, thank you to Lenora Page, the new DON(Director of nursing) for trying to frame me for an act committed by another nurse. I want to say thank you to Ione-CNA instructor for having me in her CNA class for 2 weeks, then on 07/19/2024, mocking me, by asking me what I would be doing in my position as SDC, then informing me I should go to Lenora's office to give me the news. I want to thank Nivea the facility administrator for answering my questions and having contempt in her heart towards me, when I asked questions about the state surveyors visiting. I want to thank the most unfriendly staff at Culpeper Rehab center- Unit 2 manager- Amanda, Unit 3 manager-Erica, and Infection control nurse-Jessica Leake, these three folks take daily group walks outside of the facility, but cannot do group daily rounds on each residents room, to determine what the residents need, a misuse of work time, Ms. Jessica Leake-Infection control nurse formerly SDC could not take a moment to speak to me, not sure what was the issue, but it was quite evident, she was troubled by my presence. What I have learned about the staff members at Culpeper, when someone smiles to you, it may not be a genuine smile, more so a smile on the face, but wickedness in their heart. There needs to be sense of true genuineness with staff and residents, if you don't really care about the residents and you just want to collect a check, I suggest you leave and find another job, the bad attitudes and wicked hearts is bringing this facility down, may God, help the workers and the residents in this place. This place needs prayer, only prayer will deliver this facility from what is taking place with employees and residents, thanks for the experience, I will never forget it.

My wife has worked for CHRC for 2.5 years and she loves it. She always praises her coworkers and the care that they provide. She feels like she is part of a family at CHRC. She loves the residents and the opportunity to support their daily needs. My hat goes off to all the staff at CHRC because they truly are doing God’s work.
