I felt very comfortable with everyone that helped me and my big baby of a dog. They were gentle and I felt a genuine sense of compassion from all of the ladies that helped us. The cost was affordable, and no surprise charges!

Country Vet is extremely accommodating, understanding, and affordable. The staff is amazing. They go above and beyond the call of duty. They always provide the best customer service. They are an extension of our fur babies family, and we love them 🙂

Unfortunately, I am having to leave a one star rating due to Dr. Elaine Gawlik. I brought my dog in for an exam because she is injured. The first thing Dr. Gawlik said to me was “so this is the dog that tries to bite people”. It caught me off guard because my dog had been very good the entire visit, but in the past she previously had attacked my other dog so she was placed on medicine to keep her behavior in check. I am assuming Dr. Gawlik saw the prior notes on this incidence and immediately came in with an attitude. I want to start by saying I completely understand that the staff at vet clinics have dangerous jobs and I would never want them to get bitten. The staff’s safety is the MOST important thing. I am not above thinking my dog would do something like that. My dog does growl when her ears or tail are touched. I would 100% take any actions necessary to make sure the staff is safe. However, what really got me was Elaine’s bedside manner. She asked if I could muzzle her and I said I’m not sure I’ve never tried and she rudely said “so that means no”. Then Elaine asked if she could examine her belly and I said “umm yes” and she said “so that means no”. When I found out it would be $4000 for the surgery to fix my dog I was asking her if she thought I should do it because this dog is older now and you know I was just getting all the details. She told me there was alternative care I could provide such as bed rest basically. I asked if that was a good option. She rudely said “well if I couldn’t afford the surgery that’s what I would do.” It has absolutely nothing to do with me being able to afford the surgery. (I make very good money and can afford the surgery not that this should matter) This is an old dog and I was just asking the professional her opinion. She is condescending and so rude. I’m not sure where she thinks it’s okay to talk to paying customers this way but I hope she gets a reality check. You are talking to people making very tough decisions about their pets. I understand that it is dangerous, I feel for the staff but there are ways to be empathetic to the person while also setting a precaution for your own safety. If you spoke kindly to me, even if you said “I understand your dog is hurt but I can’t do the exams unless you get a muzzle on her”. There are so many ways to phrase things nicely without being a bully. You aren’t better than everyone else Dr. Gawlik. Hope you can practice some bedside manner moving forward.

This was hands down the best vet experience I have ever had. It's not easy being a rottie but Dr Tim and Katie and the front desk staff are all amazing! I have already told my sister about you and she will be bringing her Cavapoo Rubee on soon!

Our vet assistant was so nice and friendly to Tank! He was at ease and, aside from his wanting to be roaming around outside of the clinic, it was the first time that Tank wasn't anxious at the Vet! Thank you for that!
