This review comes with a lot of sadness and regret. I’m a former teacher. I started in 2013 after enrolling my daughters here and was offered a job by Carol who has always been amazing! I was a very young mom getting on my own feet and the director Carol noticed me just a couple days into enrollment and dropping my children off. Jumping in to a new job experience came with a lot of teaching, classes, credentials and training. I loved it. I quickly realized I had a gift in something I never knew until she noticed it. My time came to an end a few years later when I came to a new path in life with a family and marriage. 5 years later I decided to go back because I missed teaching and my CLC family. The pandemic really became a black and white difference in education with the kids and how administration handled misconduct between not only staff but with the parents & children. The school had grown and was then assigned Coordinator ‘s/Admin for each age group which meant I had less direct contact with Carol and was working more with Mrs Tru. I ended up not even working more than 2 months after going back into the 2 years old class that had a turn over rate of teachers due to the behavior of children in the classroom. I quickly understood why I had been thrown into that classroom so quickly. There were numerous times I had been on the playground working morning shift waiting for my partner to come in after being over ratio and office knowing I had no help. The Playground gate is accessible for children to open and close by toddlers. Too many times in those couple months we had a couple kids in the k2 class open the fence and run off towards the second gate they keep open in the mornings for parents to drop off in the second building. Unfortunately being over ratio according to DCF standards and trying to accommodate to the parent drop off, kids playing and other needs, the only way we could lock the kids in gate was by creating our own barrier with strong at the gate entrance to tie the fence shut. Administration was made aware several times even after a parent had to help chase a student down while i stayed on the playground with the rest of my class to stop them from also trying to following through. We all know 2 and 3 years like to take off in opposite directions. Not only is my concern their playground fence safety, my concern for the ratio of teacher to student needs are not being taken seriously nor is the amount of incident/accident reports for students that are being physical with others. As a teacher, you should not have to deal with being bit, scratched, pinched or hit trying to calm down a child while alone in a classroom you’re over ratio in then given excuses and lack of support by administration when needing to file the incident report for you or other children effected in the process. The turn over rate of staff here is high. Teachers are unprofessional and late to their shifts causing classes to become over ratio until a teacher or sub is available in the classroom. Admin is so desperate for teachers to stay due to the high turnover rate that they do not hold these teachers accountable for unprofessional and late time clocking. Several teachers I knew from my previous time before still did not have all the credentials needed to even teach VPK and the standards are low. Nor has the gate been fixed. I truly missed my years here in the beginning as I felt the preacher and admin in the past took more of a concern over their teachers needs. Once the school got bigger the students and staff just became a number. I will never go back nor would I recommend my friends or family.

My family has been a part of this daycare for 4 years! And up until recently it was an AMAZING experience! There are some staff at Conway Learning that make it a phenomenal experience including Ms. Wendi, Ms. Jessica , Ms. Jackie, Ms.Jennifer, Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Karen(the teacher not the director)Ms. Diana, and Ms.Susan! These people have been consistently amazing, welcoming, and accommodating for years! They made the experience one that I’ll never forget and I am eternally grateful to God for them.

I have 2 children both who attended this daycare! My daughter, the first to attend, is a lovable well behaved child so we never encountered any issues. Unfortunately her younger brother had behavioral challenges. Instead of offering assistance for this, or taking my advice on the approaches that he responds to, we were invited to find childcare elsewhere. In addition it was implied on multiple occasions that he has “special needs” in which they hinted at Autism and all but forced us to have him assessed!

There were many positive experiences at this daycare! The fact that my kids were kept safe from infancy to preschool is something I’ll always appreciate Conway and it’s staff for. However it’s just unfortunate that a Christian facility would show so little compassion for a child that doesn’t “fit the mold” and just dispose of a child/ family who were nothing but gracious for years!

I am still grateful however because without Conway Directors kicking my son out for being different, we would’ve never found the wonderful school that he attends now Mills Institute for Learning ! Where he is accepted! Not labeled, not judged, and not viewed as a problem. God has a funny way of closing doors, in order to place you right where you need to be!

I have suggested this daycare to many, and still would, however if your child is different Conway Learning may not be a good fit.

My personal experience with this school has been amazing. This place has been a blessing. My kid was going to another daycare where all kids were neglected barely cleaned and placed in front of a tv. I loved this school since the moment I saw how clean and organized it was. The teachers have been so kind and caring. They have a strong curriculum and great discipline. She learned how to speak right away once I made the switch.

Please be aware that when you are enrolling your child into this institution, you are also signing them up for life long trauma. The staff and principal hold this superiority complex, and provides no support to parents nor students. My child was enrolled there. He was coming home with bruises, scratches and in tears everyday. When I called for a meeting they tried to intimidate my child and I. Instead of addressing the problem the principal decided to kick him out. If I could give it zero stars I would.

My daughter had an amazing 3/4-year-old year with Ms. Jessica Guerrero in room 173 (Macaws) in building #2. Because of Ms. Jessica she started VPK knowing how to count beyond 20, writing all of the letters in the alphabet including her name, and singing the months of the year and days of the week. Ms. Jessica would keep me informed and had great communication. My daughter loved going to see Ms. Jessica every day so drop-off always went well. I gave the school 4 stars instead of 5 because of the admin, processes and systems of the school, NOT the teachers—Ms Jessica and Ms. Sully in building #1—who have been amazing for our family.

As we walk inside for the first time to gather information how to get our daughter into daycare, we met the director & the first impression she did is with “we don’t want to waste your time neither we want you to waste our time”. She was already assuming we aren’t Christian & kept repeating that one same sentence over and over. And when my wife tried to ask more questions the director was annoyed by it & pretty much wanted us to leave already. We weren’t expecting such behavior like that from a daycare director. 👎 👎

My son started here on 2020, honestly I was afraid to sign mi son in a daycare because for long time I heard a lot things about this places. I only regret if one thing and is wait a lot time to sign him. My experience, my son was so happy, he learned a lot from his teacher and he was so happy in this place. He finished here VPK and now he attends to CCA. Is an amazing daycare!
