Coffee Road Animal Hospital has the best staff and top vets, this is the only place I trust with my shihtzu, who has been coming here for 9 yrs. He was recently sick and they helped my shihtzu get better they squeezed me in same day appointment and was very detailed in explaining the process of my shihtzu medical needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did to help my furbaby get better.

Coffee Road vet is very busy, with long wait times for appointments. They do a pretty good job making sure emergency type situations get seen as timely as possible. We have seen Dr. Paine, and she was knowledgeable and gentle with my cat, but not friendly enough to make us want to see her again. We more recently saw Dr. Healis, and she was amazing, friendly, and attentive. She answered our questions about our dogs terminal care with honesty and thoughtfulness. When we had to put our dog down, we saw a third vet that I don't see on the website right now. So I apologize for not knowing her name, but she was also amazing. She was so sweet during and after putting our dog down. She even made us laugh over cheese. During that appointment, the whole office was very kind, and we appreciated their care.

We were seen relatively quickly considering how crowded the waiting room was. We still got an apology for the long wait from the veterinarian. Our little Pomeranian was given a very thorough examination by two vets as one was there “learning the ropes” . Most importantly to me, my concerns about her separation anxiety were taken very seriously and I was given a lot of good information about how to change her behavior without using drugs. Overall, I was very pleased with this visit as I have been with every visit we have made to Coffee Road Animal Hospital. We plan to have our little girl spayed there in the next month or so.

Coffee Road Animal Hospital is great. I used to go to another vet here in Bakersfield and they were just a money mill and didn’t care about the animals. I switched over because my dog had really really bad anxiety and was on medication. He had also developed a mass on his side. When I first brought him in there each vet that we saw was so compassionate and caring. They got down on the floor with him and helped to calm him before doing anything. The staff remember him and even went above and beyond when we had to put him down.

I also just recently brought in my cat because of an overgrown and infected nail between his thumb and paw. The vet was super nice and took great care of him.

If you’re looking for a vet in Bakersfield I would highly recommend Coffee Road Animal Hospital. I won’t take my animals anywhere else.

Just a fantastic place to take your pet for vet needs. Our dog needed tooth extraction, which is kind of a big deal, but this place really has their act together. Very professional staff. I'm 65 and have had 3 dogs and 4 cats in my lifetime and this is probably the best vet clinic I have ever been to. 5 stars!

Very bad customer service (front desk) she’s very rude and has a very bad attitude. I noticed it since I stepped in. She didn’t even say oh hi, how can I help you, extremely rude. I had an incident when I was about to pay, my card got declined don’t know why and she told me very aggressive your card got declined. I gave her the same attitude she was giving me. I told her I will be using another card. After leaving she was like oh have a good day, I was like really!
That girl needs to find another job because customer services is a no no no for her!
